#QuarantineDiaries weekend project: solving jigsaw puzzle using #AI. Actually not much AI but a lot of computer vision: identifying, labeling, rotating and computing matches between any pairs. End result was OK but a lot of room for improvement. Now I just need a robotic arm!

Fun and exciting week on campus at @MSUNatSci @MSUBurgess @michiganstateu met with so many old friends during, and I get to pick up mails from my real physical Inbox!

@minimaxir Tricky one indeed. If I recall correctly, this is the Python initialization bug that took down Digg years ago -- not just the website but possibly the whole company with it, as documented by @Lethain here: lethain.com/digg-v4/ screenshot of the paragraph:

My daughter was born six months after I started at Twitter. It’s hard to believe, but next week will be her 9th birthday! It's also hard to believe that, after nearly a decade, this will be my last week working at Twitter.

@bluedevilfan2 Ok I did some research on this, apparently it's a generalized form of butterfly theorem (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butterfly…) - on a "kite", not a circle. There's a more general form (O no need to be center), a MUCH neater proof provided below (not by me!), Supposedly it's a famous problem!

Great observation👍 Taking the 3 letter pattern to an extreme: an app (like the ones in Apple app store) is pronounced as Ei-Pee-Pee in China, and Australia shoe brand UGG, is U-Gee-Gee there too.
