I strongly believe there are entire companies right now under heavy AI psychosis and its impossible to have rational conversations about it with them. I can't name any specific people because they include personal friends I deeply respect, but I worry about how this plays out. I lived through the great MTBF vs MTTR (mean-time-between-failure vs. mean-time-to-recovery) reckoning of infrastructure during the transition to cloud and cloud automation. All those arguments are rearing their ugly heads again but now its... the whole software development industry (maybe the whole world, really). It's frightening, because the psychosis folks operate under an almost absolute "MTTR is all you need" mentality: "its fine to ship bugs because the agents will fix them so quickly and at a scale humans can't do!" We learned in infrastructure that MTTR is great but you can't yeet resilient systems entirely. The main issue is I don't even know how to bring this up to people I know personally, because bringing this topic up leads to immediately dismissals like "no no, it has full test coverage" or "bug reports are going down" or something, which just don't paint the whole picture. We already learned this lesson once in infrastructure: you can automate yourself into a very resilient catastrophe machine. Systems can appear healthy by local metrics while globally becoming incomprehensible. Bug reports can go down while latent risk explodes. Test coverage can rise while semantic understanding falls. Changes happens so fast that nobody notices the underlying architecture decaying. I worry.

I am not an economist but as an engineering manager, I would have taken these decisions. 1. Scrap pay commission & implement performance based hikes. 2. Strictly orders to not purchase any new govt cars, reduce logistics costs. 3. Ask all govt to voluntarily resign if their 1/2

I’m trying make an urgent transaction on my @HDFC_Bank app. I’m trying to log in. It’s forcing me to change my MPIN since it’s been 6 months. There is no way around it. I don’t remember my MPIN coz I’m forced to change it every 6 months though there is no fraudulent activity. Unable to access my own money because of poorly thought out ‘security features’. Why change a pin that’s not compromised? It’s so cumbersome to keep creating & remembering 4 digit numbers for the bank every 6 months. HDFC please change this nonsensical procedure Irate customer.

Is this the kind of response time for an emergency? @chennaipolice_ Demolition company owner says "Please adjust we don't have permission for lorry to come during day to load the debris". So demolishing sounds during the day in a residential area and at night also no peace? I have senior citizens with health conditions at home, how will they sleep? I can't go to bed either, it's too loud. I'm losing sleep thanks to this.

@ACTFibernet internet is not working and I am unable to raise a support ticket since your chatbot is down. Why can't there be a simple form for creating support tickets? @iScienceLuvr The answer is in your question: "purposefully cut out half the population" It’s not about difficulty, it’s about control, releasing on iOS/macOS first helps them limit scale and prepare their systems for the load.

I unfortunately don't know much about mobile app and desktop software dev so I'm genuinely asking: WHY DO ALL COMPANIES RELEASE iOS/macOS PRODUCTS FIRST/ONLY??? How hard is it to release Android and Windows versions of your product? Recent example is the Sora app, which is only released for iOS, with Android coming later. This means Android users like myself cannot do Cameos, and are missing out on the internet moment. I've seen many other products that are iOS/macOS-only and it's really frustrating that I cannot use them at all. Why would you purposefully cut out like half of the population who can use your software?! How hard is it to take a little bit of extra time to add Android/Windows support to your products? I thought companies like OpenAI have the best coding agents and tools... why don't they just use them to port over their software to Android and Windows?! Seriously, what is the limiting factor here, I must know.
