I sent more chasers via @bookingcom messaging service on the 18 Jan, 20 Jan, 8 Feb and 14 Feb. No action was taken. And some days ago access to the incriminated booking was conveniently removed from view (I’ve screenshot all the evidence anyway) #bookingcom #bookingcomscam

On the 13 Dec I rang @bookingcom again: they told me to send evidence screenshots to an email address they provided. I did that but the email bounced: the address they gave me was wrong (as I can prove: I have recorded the phone conversation). #bookingcom #bookingcomscam

On the 12 December @bookingcom sent out a general email, confirming that they knew about possible hacking activity going on, affecting a number of accounts including mine. #bookingcom #bookingcomscam

For payments, they used my @bookingcom Wallet credits. Luckily, my stored cards were out of date, so they could not use those. I have since removed them for good measure. #bookingcom #bookingcomscam

My search history shows that they had looked at other properties in Bandar Lampung, Jakarta, Palembang... Later in the morning I received an email from @bookingcom asking me to complete a booking at LeGreen Suite Kuningan that had been initiated but not finalised. #bookingcomscam

The booking doesn’t show in my @bookingcom booked hotels, but the scammers were sloppy in covering their traces, so I recovered reference, PIN, name (Niko Ramzi), email address used, etc. Their Indonesian phone number was still in my details. #bookingcom #bookingcomscam

On checking, I found to my dismay that someone had accessed my @bookingcom account, changed my contact details (the phone number now showed an Indonesian one) and booked a hotel room in Palembang for the following day! #bookingcom #bookingcomscam
