On Monday, Britain announced new sanctions on 12 individuals and entities they claim are linked to Iran and involved in funding or material support, in "hostile activity by the Government of Iran by threatening, planning or conducting attacks against persons and assets in the United Kingdom or any other countries," or are an "immediate family member of, and therefore associated with, persons involved in activity which is intended to cause the destabilisation of the United Kingdom or any other country." ￭ The sanctions include asset freezes and travel bans, and the targeted include several exchange ⁠houses and financial operators.

Andy Burnham’s 2015 leadership campaign received over £130,000 in private donations. One of his funders was Michael Sternberg, who has also financed Labour’s current Courts Minister, Sarah Sackman. Sackman previously worked as a judicial clerk at the Israeli Supreme Court.
