it's interesting how the game has changed on CT, but not necessarily in a good way. there are good parts but there are also bad parts, and i came to realize this while asking myself a question "does my content actually bring value?" value is a very subjective aspect, but for me it comes down to a few simple terms through which you can provide value to your audience: > entertainment > teaching > alpha > news > complex topics made easy to understand i sat down and really thought about what i post and i literally scrolled through my page and the timeline and i came to the conclusion that 90% of the content has 0 value. and what really stands out the most is this "support for support" culture which i feel is the worst thing ever. it's quite literally glazing disguised as "i will support you, you will support me" type of thing. and it's all being done to chase metrics. views, likes, QRTs, followers. i get it, i chase metrics too and i like when i see my account growing, my X paychecks growing, the number of paid deals growing. again, i'm not hating on the game, i understand that "game is game"" and this is currently the way to play it. everybody wants to be seen, grow fast and land deals. but if you strip down your content to the core, you will realize that 90% of it is devoid of any real value to the audience. i'm guilty of that too, i've been chasing numbers (i still am) and i'm also afraid that if i don't go hard each day the motion of the account will slowly start to fade away. but i also hate the approach "support for support". no, you should engage with content because you actually like it, not because you think that if you don't the author of the post will forget about you and will stop interacting with you. that's just dumb and will only burn you out and turn you into a brainless timeline scroller. if you post content people fk with, they will show up and interact with it regardless, because they can see the value behind. ask yourself this question too. if tomorrow, all these people supporting you because you support them will be gone, how will your account look like? you're probably not going to like the answer. this was a long one, but i had to let it out. no hate for any of the players, we're just playing the game. and we all know game is game. just don't be a mindless scroller and glazer.
