Congratulations to Mr A Wedd for being awarded March's Employee of the Month! Mr Wedd has earnt this award for his great support of our pupils, especially our more vulnerable pupils, in achieving sporting success.

To raise money for @comicrelief our P.E department organised a penalty shootout. The charity challenge was to score 3 times against Josh, our top Year 11 goalie, to win a prize! But Josh showed off his talent and no one could score 3 against him, not even Mr Wedd!

Ahead of International Women's Day, girls from our Student Council met with our Senior Leadership Team; bringing together all our Women in Leadership. Our staff leaders shared their journeys to leadership with the council & discussed how they overcome the hardships they faced.

Our Year 7 Student Councillors are continuing their sustainability push. They met with School Manager Mr Dolan this morning to talk about our new recycling initiative and the new bins being placed in key areas of the school.

Last week, our student council attended a model UN, representing Germany & pitching views on how to improve clean energy. Alliances were made & put to the test as every country debated their ideas & problems. Congratulations to Head Girl Soraya who won Star Alliance Contributor!

Thank you to @easyJet for coming in to talk to our Year 11's today about the apprenticeships they offer. Highlighting these excellent apprenticeship opportunities available right on our doorstep will help our pupils that wish to pursue a career in STEM.

Our Student Council are working in their specialist areas to help improve our school. Year 7 councillors met with our School Manager to discuss sustainability, Year 8 met with our Extra-Curricular Lead to discuss events & Year 9 met with our Careers Officer to discuss careers.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our Christmas Market at the weekend. Overall, the event raised a total of £2185.06 for @LutonFoodbank. This will go a long way to help our community this winter and would not have been achievable without your generosity and support.

All week Lea Manor has been supporting @BBCCiN by selling Pudsey pens, badges, and wristbands. It was great to see so many pupils queuing up to buy these products and play their part in helping Children in Need.
