@spooked75 The right calls things they don't like "communist" or "socialist". The left calls them "fascist" or "racist". Neither uses any actual reasoning in the assertions. They just know those buzzwords get the crowd fired up.

The word "communist" has lost all meaning in MAGA world. Let's fix that. What communism actually is: • State ownership of ALL means of production • Abolition of private property • No free markets • Single-party authoritarian rule What US Democrats actually support: • Capitalism with regulations • Private property rights • Free markets with safety nets • Multiple parties, free elections Communist parties in US Congress: 0 Socialist parties in US Congress: 0 Democratic Socialists (Bernie-style): ~5 out of 535 The Democratic Party would be center-right in most of Europe. Biden and Harris are capitalists. Always have been. But you call everything you don't like "communism" because: 1. You can't define it 2. You never learned political science 3. Fox/OAN/Newsmax told you scary words = Democrats 4. You're in a cult that requires an enemy "Do your own research" means YouTube videos. "Communist" means "thing I don't like." "Patriot" means "person in my cult." The states with the worst education rankings vote the most Republican. That's not a coincidence.

@nxt888 We had the capability to go scorched earth on the country, but that would be considered a war crime so we chose to play by rules which hindered our ability to win. Ironically, this same self-hindrance (from the Brits) allowed us to win our revolution.

There is a particular type of American who, when confronted with Vietnam, says: "We could have won if the politicians hadn't tied our hands." Let us examine this claim with the respect it deserves. Which is none. At peak deployment, the United States had 543,000 troops in Vietnam. It flew more than 5.2 million combat sorties. It used weapons so advanced that Vietnamese forces had never seen anything like them. It had total air superiority for most of the war. It had naval dominance of the entire coastline. It had satellite intelligence, chemical defoliation, electronic surveillance. It had the full industrial capacity of the wealthiest nation in the history of the world pointed at a country where most people farmed rice by hand. And it lost. Not barely lost. Not lost-on-a-technicality. Lost so completely that the last image of American presence in Vietnam is a helicopter on a rooftop in Saigon and desperate people climbing the walls trying to get on it as the American empire evacuated its failure in real time. Broadcast live. On television. Watched by the entire world. "They tied our hands." With what? What hand was left untied? What weapon was withheld? What tactic was forbidden? The truth is too simple and too brutal for that excuse to cover: You cannot win a war against people willing to fight forever for their own land. You were never going to win. The politicians didn't lose Vietnam. The logic of empire lost Vietnam. Because empire always eventually loses when it meets people who refuse to accept that they are supposed to lose.

@JJuanitamayorga Your slide says sex isn't gender. Historically, rules listing "men" or "women" were sex-based (XX, XY) designations. Redefining gender, then claiming rights from sex-based laws is disingenuous.

@BernieSanders AI replacing jobs is inevitable. If American-based companies don't do it, foreign companies will...leaving us at a terrible cost disadvantage. Maybe focus our energies on what jobs WILL be available in an AI world rather than all sorts of union nonsense.

@GunnelsWarren Let's say the tech to make human jobs obsolete becomes realized in 5 years. The first company (or nation) to transition fully to robotics/AI wins. Everyone else gets left behind. Those evil billionaires have a choice; adapt or die.

Myth: If we tax billionaires they won't create jobs. Fact: Last year, billionaires got the largest tax break in history. Now, they are literally planning to replace every worker in America with a robot or AI. Trickle down economics is a scam. Tax billionaires out of existence.

I honestly don’t care how many people you think died under past communist “regimes”. It doesn’t change the fact that everyone deserves food, housing, healthcare and the ability to live a dignified life. Capitalism won’t do this and it’s literally destroying our planet.

Me: Tax the rich Q: But what about all the waste, fraud and abuse? Me: investigate and prosecute waste, fraud and abuse AND tax the rich. Q: But the rich create jobs Me: Great. So they can enjoy the profits created from that labor AND pay taxes on that profit. Q: It will just make them leave America. Me: There is no tax haven in the world like the American tax haven. No they won’t. Q: Our national debt is because spending is out of control! Me: It is, but that is also something that rich people have trained you to say so that you’ll argue that they shouldn’t be taxed. Create Medicare for all ($600 billion in savings), cut the military budget in half ($500 billion). There’s a trillion right there. AND tax the rich. Q: …. Me: Exactly. Tax the rich.

This isn’t an abstract idea any longer. It is an absolute necessity. Our national debt started its rapid explosion after Reagan’s hare brained “trickle down” scam. It’s been 45 years and it has only trickled up and left our country on the verge of complete financial collapse. It’s time to reverse course and hope that it’s not too late.

Multi-millionaires and billionaires keep getting richer and richer while working families get squeezed by a rigged economy. No more. It’s time for a wealth tax — and for our government to start working for working people.

We don't need a Wealth Tax, we need a 100% tax on all wealth above a certain amount. Lets say $100m, that's more than enough. We need to outlaw outrageous wealth, not just try reduce it a bit. Billionaires are a danger to everything and everyone. As you can clearly see.

@4TaxFairness It isn't whether they can afford it. It's the precedent of the Feds taxing assets. Social Security started as 1% to support old widows. It (and Medicare/caid) now cost $3.5 trillion annually.

Households worth over $50 million can afford to pay a 2% wealth tax. Billionaires can afford to pay 3%. The rest of us can't afford to keep giving the richest people in America tax breaks while we struggle to get by. Pass Elizabeth Warren's Ultra-Millionaire Tax Act.

Georgia passed a law making it a crime to block streets during protests, with penalties of up to a year in jail, $5,000 in fines, and potential civil lawsuits. Critics warn it could stop people from taking part in peaceful demonstrations.

I know it’s impossible to get a ticket but why can’t teams charge for food or drinks like the Masters does? One of the most historical events ever charging $8.00 for beer and a chicken sandwich at most when a team 45 games under .500 charging you $54. Make it make sense. Make going to a sporting event affordable
