He blames Arteta for playing Kepa. He said Arteta hasn’t won any trophy in a long time, hence, he should have played Raya.
I do not agree with this though. Raya makes errors too, almost every goalkeeper makes errors and they become lucky if it doesn’t lead to a goal.
It is a squad, every player should play, and these are the games they play. Kepa has been the goalkeeper in the cup, he should play. Trafford was also in goal for City from the start of the cup, and he should remain till the final.
They call them managers for a reason, there are about 60 games in a season, when should they play? He has to keep the dressing room as happy as possible, it’s not easy.

Like I said the other day, people talk about how this City aren't good and all, while Arsenal are one of the best in Europe, but City dominated Arsenal today.
It wasn't a lucky win, they outplayed them and pinned them back for large spells.
My point remains that this isn't are t that good. Will probably win the league, but they aren't so so good.

You can't try to limit a team PSG, Bayern, City or Barcelona with this, they'd find solutions with quality. This is where I have problems with Rice (if people think he's as elite on the ball). He hasn't shown that level of control or tempo in his game.
I don't think anyone saw Pep drawing up a 4-2-4 to limit Arsenal's progression but it's no secret that Saliba and Gabriel aren't elite on the ball.
Arne Slot did something similar at the Emirates. He forced Arsenal to play through their center backs and man-marked Zubimendi. They didn't progress easily in that game.

This is the genesis of Zubimendi’s problem, he moves too much. Controller 6s don’t play like this. You don’t see Jorginho or Partey doing cardio sections like this because they sit at the base of midfield and dictate play with their iq and technical ability.
Declan Rice is the one who should be moving around, he has the engine and the ability to influence every phase. Zubimendi is roaming because he’s not excelling at his primary job, which is controlling tempo.
If Arsenal wanted a mobile 8/6, there are several players better suited to that role, Bruno Guimaraes is one of them.
But the whole idea behind Zubimendi was that he’d sit at the base like Partey or Jorginho and give Rice the freedom to move. Instead, he’s actually moving more than Rice, while Rice is left to carry the entire buildup burden on his own.

Most of you didn’t get what happened. Football matches like this are in phases. In the first half, we had Man City on strings for some time. In the second half, they started brighter and we absorbed the pressure well without conceding a single shot on target until Kepa’s brain dead moment. If Kepa had not done that, the momentum would shift again with Arsenal making a substitute or two to keep things going. That goal deflated everyone and made City to control until the end.

Winning a league isn't same as winning a one off cup final.

You know what’s even crazier. Cherki did this, then Ben White lost his head and got a yellow card for retaliating. That allowed Doku more freedom when going up against him.😭 Ben white even got taken off.😭 Football is meant to be as entertaining as much as it is strategic
