4-4-2 with Valverde in a right midfielder role has been a great piece of platforming by Arbeloa. It has helped get Real Madrid’s season back on track. It has maximised Trent,Vini & Valverde himself. Especially without Mbappé, they needed Valverde to stretch defences off-the-ball.
