This practitioner-led gathering brings together over 40 organisations from 14+ countries working at the intersection of AI and SRH. Here, we will be creating space for honest conversations on what’s working, what isn’t, and how we can collectively shape equitable AI solutions to SRH across Africa and the Global South. LUGANDA THE LANGUAGE! When I travel around the world marketing Uganda, when I am asked about the main language spoken in uganda, I proudly say Luganda. I tell them Uganda has over 69 languages in use and only about 40 are documented plus 4 none indigenous ones. I add proudly , it’s a language by one of our biggest tribes. Our greatest music is sang in Luganda and that doesn’t mean we don’t have songs in my own language that am proud of too, lumasaba. It’s a deep language, I add! Luganda is generally speaking our language of trade, we transact in it and since 67% of Ugandas trade in Kampala( our city I add with pride) and wakiso, it dominates. I tell them, when the external traders first arrived Uganda, they arrived in buganda, started trading with the Baganda, trade became part of the buganda. The Baganda didn’t stop us the other tribes from joining them, they accepted anyone who wanted to be a muganda from any other tribe. The word muganda is unifying I tell them. When I am describing our mountains, our lakes, our rivers, our food with 2 planting seasons, and our birds, our tropical rains forests, our primates, our mammals in addition to language, those listen say, you love your country. Yes, it’s true! Guys, when I am talking about Uganda on a good day to a none Ugandan out there, the best of me comes out, I speak with pride, they keenly listen. Because it comes from deep in me. I believe it! You wish are always there to hear the feedback, there is something special i can’t even express it here well. Many people out there will listen when you speak about your country with pride. Alright good day!

Travel plans changed a bit today I was meant to head to Tanzania this morning, but due to a heavy schedule of appointments, I’ve had to push the journey to tonight. 513 youth in Kasese and Kyegegwa have completed vocational training and are now transitioning into Work-Based Learning (WBL) under the #WeWorkUG Project – Green and Decent Jobs for Youth. Ahead of placements, 22 supervisors from host enterprises across Kasese, Fort Portal and Kamwenge were oriented on mentorship and safeguarding to support trainees during their workplace learning. We plan to introduce Electric buses, engagements with local bus service providers are ongoing.The buses will be deployed along the major corridors. Working with Ministry of Works and Transport (@MoWT_Uganda ), @RailwaysUganda we are double tracking the passenger rail services on available railway corridors but ultimately there one major solution: GET PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR PRIVATE CARS TO: 1. Walk 2. Cycle 3. Use mass transit i.e MGR,BRT,LRT MGR- Meter Guage Railway From Mukono to Bujuuko BRT - Bus Rapid Transit Mukono to Kampala Gayaza to Kampala Kampala to Kajjansi LRT- Light Railway Transit New Routes to Kira, to Matugga, to Nakisunga with a circular LRT along Northern Bypass and the Southern Bypass When fully implemented ,traffic jam will drastically reduce.

Happening now Local Coalition Accelerator Uganda (LCA-Uganda), with Kampala Capital City Authority (@KCCAUG), @MukisaFound, @KabubbuP, @SetHerFree1, @ACODEVU, and @AFFCAD, with @CapaidsUganda as Secretariat, is holding a Para social workers/VHT training session at the KCCA Nakawa Division offices. Training of Para Social Workers/Village Health team from 5Divisions of Kampala, Entebbe & Mukono in partnership with KCCA Directorate of Public Health & Environment, in collaboration with the Directorate of Gender, Community Service & Production. This initiative will enable us to prepare 210 Para social workers to lead the Nutritional Supplementary Program, targeting 520 children, including urban refugee children, within the Kampala Metropolitan area. This intervention looks at the health of children as we scale up the 2 Generational Model to the ECCD project funded by Conrad Hilton Foundation @hiltonfound

We have convened over 30 young leaders of Civil society Organizations (CSOs) from different districts across the country for a two-day mentorship. This mentorship is aimed at strengthening the capacity of youth-led local SRHR organizations through knowledge sharing and practical skill building. #SRHR4All #MentorTheMovement

Yesterday, we joined @WezeshaGirls and other partners for a pre International Women’s Day engagement at Princess Diana High School Munyonyo under the theme, “Give to Gain – She Rises When We Give.” The session created a space for students to interact with mentors and partners who shared powerful messages on self confidence, education, leadership and resilience. The girls were encouraged to believe in their dreams, stay focused on their studies and recognize their potential to shape their futures and contribute positively to their communities. In the spirit of the theme, we supported about 50 girls with sanitary pads, promoting menstrual dignity and ensuring that menstruation does not interrupt their education. Together, we continue working to empower girls to rise and thrive. #IWD2026 #GiveToGain
