(1) Stellantis, Volkswagen, GM and Toyota are scared of Chinese competition and some of them are globally struggling. But why should Brazil care much as long as those BYD cars are also produced in Brazil? It's a different situation of course if cars from outside the country are being dumped on the market. Furthermore, EVs currently represent less than 1% of the Brazilian car market - together with hybrids its 9%.
