Today, the Trump administration announced it was issuing a 60-day waiver of the Jones Act. AFPM President and CEO @CThompsonAFPM responded by lauding the act as a good first step and encouraged the administration to take a closer look at reducing RFS costs. A big thank you to House Budget Chairman @RepArrington for spending time with us at our Annual Meeting’s Government Relations breakfast and speaking on the importance of our industries to everyday life.

The answer? 1885. That year, Sylvanus Bowser of Fort Wayne, Indiana invented the first gasoline pump. It was a simple construction, basically a metal tank in a wooden cabinet and operated by a suction pump, but Bowser successfully sold it to a grocery store owner in town. Little did he know his invention would change the world.
