Unionists supported the British Army, RUC, UDR & various Security Services during the conflict, this is an explicit support for State Violence & Repression! Why are they never questioned on this or why they didn't have an alternative to State Terrorism?

How do communities put in a request for the DUP to prevent a bloodbath, like last night, given they were able to do it at Scarva? Is there an online form?
DUP@duponline

Following PMQs, @GRobinsonDUP & @carlalockhart met with the PM to discuss the barbaric attack in Belfast & the need to address the border between NI & RoI. We condemn all violence. Politics must be seen to work by addressing genuine concerns about our broken immigration system.

Today I stood side-by-side with Mayor of Belfast Róis-Máire Donnelly, in full support and solidarity, following threats against her life. Róis-Máire is a young, energetic and dedicated activist and represents the very best of this city and its people. We will not be deterred in working for all communities and building a better society free from intimidation, hatred and division.

It was lovely to welcome Jamaal Bowman, former New York City Congressman, to Áras Uí Chonghaile. Discussing the life and work of the iconic trade union leader James Connolly and his legacy in both the Irish and North American labour movements 🙌

Armed Irish Men Set Up Migrant Roadblocks in Belfast, Searching Cars at Gunpoint Read that again. And again...until you understand how DIABOLICAL that is. This isn't new. This exact same thing happened in the race riots in Doncaster 2024

@StevieMcC79 @narindertweets Anti-Community Scum. They've probably spent the last year throwing stones at each other across Broadway. Thick, knuckledragging idiots

@AIMWoundedKnee @narindertweets Those cunts came from the West Belfast side and joined with loyalists at the roundabout before attacking houses on their way to Shaftesbury square.

@ArnoldCarton @Brehon_is_Best @mgtruth While unionist leaders provide fertile ground for those racists views, Republican/Nationalist leaders are totally opposed to those views, don't enable them. I'm sure sections of unionisms fondness for the British empire, the good old days & colonialism has it's part to play too

@ArnoldCarton @Brehon_is_Best @mgtruth There are decades-long relationships between armed loyalist groups and various far-right orgs such as the National Front, C18, BF, EDL etc. Unionist politicians enable these racist views, they don't challenge them that's for sure. Loyalism is essentially British Nationism

At a time when language is so important, some have chosen to use dog whistle terms. It’s almost like they’ve never seen violence in NI. Never read the reports on any of the women murdered in the last 5 years.

The liberal placation of violent Loyalism - decades long - & the attempt to "all sides" everything is fundamentally part of the problem here. A cursory glance at where these homes were set on fire last night provides more than ample evidence. Be honest with your analysis.

1 in 20 Catholic families were burned out of their homes in Belfast in 1969. As one scholar put it, at the time it was "the largest forced population movement in Western Europe since the Second World War."
Brian Whelan@brianwhelanhack

@I_amMukhtar Their Loyalist grandparents did the same in 1969.

The loyalist response to an attempted murder in North Belfast has been to attempt to murder scores of innocent people because of the colour of their skin or perceived ethnicity. They are nothing more than Fascist scum, who spent last year attacking Catholics out of their homes!
Kevin Scott@Kscott_94

Several houses remain burning here off the Crumlin Road in north Belfast. I’m on the ground with fire crews as they tackle the blazes. Riot police were deployed for a time here @BelTel
