How many things can you do wrong on an easy double play ball? First off…Trevor Story should have taken it himself and yelled at Mayer to get out of his way. Secondly…once he didn’t Mayer should have positioned himself at the back corner of the bag with his glove open and both hands up. Third…you should never barehand a feed because you can’t risk not getting at least 1 out. This video should be used by every High School and College coach as an example of how not to turn a Double Play! @capihood @Cubs Not at all on either account. Assad should have be in the 5 man rotation to start the season And the only time Ben Brown should pitch for the cubs is an occasional spot start or when the game is far out of reach in either direction
