My first this is to always ask “WHY do you want to do HR”? Then I’ll typically tell them to; - Have a conversation with someone/people who currently work in the role and ask about what they really do. - Understand where HR as a profession is now and the paths to get in. - Take a free/affordable course (NOT A CERTIFICATION) to understand the basic concepts about the course and why it exists and what is expected of people on that career - Volunteer to work with a professional or a company or do an internship Hope this helps.
