Billionaires talking about inequality... Of course he never dares mention the 90 odd connected cadre billionaire families here in his own backyard and how they got their wealth. No, God forbid...

MAHIKENG: Heartbreaking Execution of a Beloved Butchery Couple – When Will This Carnage End?
In what can only be described as yet another sickening chapter in South Africa's unrelenting nightmare of violent crime, the owners of Totobola Butchery in Mahikeng were brutally murdered in cold blood during a savage armed robbery.
Sergio “Search” Gomes and his wife, Marlene “Ma-Totobola” Gomes – respected, hardworking pillars of their community who fed families and built lives with honest labour – are gone.
Six masked cowards stormed their busy shop, terrorising customers and staff before dragging the couple to their nearby home in a desperate hunt for a safe. Gunshots rang out. Marlene was killed at the scene. Sergio fought for his life in hospital before succumbing to his injuries.
No arrests. Not one.
This isn't an isolated tragedy. This is daily life in a country where the murder rate now exceeds that of many active war zones. Innocent people – shopkeepers, farmers, families – are being slaughtered in their places of business and homes while the rest of us are told to "stay positive" and accept it as the new normal.
How did we get here?
Why is a once-thriving nation drowning in blood, fear, and impunity?
Where are the consequences for these animals who prey on the productive and the vulnerable?
How many more Sergio and Marlene stories must we endure before the people in charge admit this country is bleeding out?
The Gomes family leaves behind a devastated community in Mahikeng – shocked, heartbroken, and furious.
They deserved better. South Africa deserves better. The question isn't just "who did this?" anymore.
The real question is: Why does this government and society allow this slaughter to continue, day after bloody day?
VIVA, @MYANC , VIVA. This is on you.

A 70-year-old Mpumalanga farmer, Bert Steenberg, was found dead on his farm Leeuwfontein near Kendal.
His body was tied to a vehicle with rope.
His family, concerned after not hearing from him, searched for him. They discovered the horrific scene.
He was severely assaulted, with visible wounds to his head and face. Strangled, using a piece of the rope he was tied with and his own shirt. His body was then bound and attached to his vehicle.
No arrests have been made.

You’re a multibillionaire with 31 properties and a R3.5 million annual salary that you’ve decided to pay yourself from struggling taxpayers’ hard-earned money. If equality is the goal, why not start with yourself?

Inequality is one of the greatest threats to human progress. It retards human development and progress because where inequality exists, opportunity is scarce. Where opportunity is scarce, potential is wasted. And where potential is wasted, progress is not just slowed – it is stopped. x.com/i/broadcasts/1…

Last night a 76-year-old man, Trompie Kruger, was brutally assaulted and held up in Kameeldrift-Oos during a violent farm attack.
According to reports, there was a struggle in the kitchen and he was repeatedly struck over the head. His son later described the scene as one where there was blood everywhere, even against the kitchen cupboards.
His wife and family were inside that home while this happened.
Rural safety remains another policing crisis in South Africa. IC
