On June 9th, Intel released a new security advisory SA-00295, which described 20 new vulnerabilities affecting the Management Engine (ME or CSME) component. We’ve added support for these new vulnerabilities to the Eclypsium device protection platform. bit.ly/2Z3PXi2

Defender is now detecting a vulnerable driver from a BIOS update tool! It is amazing to finally see some action done about these dangerous system drivers, this will make it harder for software to directly access hardware. Program:Win32/VulnInsydeDriver.A 🤘😆🤘 cc:@jessemichael

Another incredible research by the team will go live today at DEF CON and on our website: eclypsium.com/research/ Common design vulnerabilities in software developed by many #hardware and #firmware vendors and months-long journey to mitigate
Eclypsium@eclypsium

Eclypsium's @jessemichael and @HackingThings will show their research @defcon demonstrating how vulnerabilities in signed kernel-mode drivers can compromise platform security. Catch it live on Saturday at 3PM. bit.ly/2YD2cot

Nice commit in Broadcom wireless driver, no CVE. Dont worry, it is only a heap overflow leading to remote code exec in the Linux kernel but exploitable in very narrow conditions: Target needs to have Wake on Wireless LAN enabled (who does that?) #teasing #diff-66ea469ce534d8c3ba7147099b87fe78" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">github.com/torvalds/linux…
