@AlphaOM3G1 @omarvvvr I'm not trying to pick up Internet fight with you. I don't even know you, but the reality is Apple does in fact retire their old devices. If you look at old phones, they slow them down and for MacBook Pros in the 2011 era those batteries have to run for the computer to run

@sflanders95 @omarvvvr Sounds like : Failed battery Most likely if it won't power on from AC alone.Replacing the battery often fixes it. Faulty MagSafe charger or DC-in board Check the MagSafe LED lights up. SMC/power-management issue An SMC reset is worth trying. Or finally Logic board failure

@AlphaOM3G1 @omarvvvr My late 2012 macbook refused to start. I found out that there is an egg timer on the battery. The battery was just fine, but it would not run on AC power.. failure to boot means there is no room for a dual boot

@sflanders95 @omarvvvr Have you tried dual boot as well?

@AlphaOM3G1 @omarvvvr That actually doesn't work because once the battery egg timer runs out, the laptop will no longer work. They actually cripple the battery and you can't run off of AC power at all. It has to run off the battery. They actually cancel their own battery even when it's running fine.

@sflanders95 @omarvvvr Damn. My old MacBook 2013 with 4gb of RAM running my agents like a king on a Chinese AC and still the old battery working like a champ 15 years later... The programmed obsolescence they built is crazy

@omarvvvr The big problem with any Apple product is they expire old equipment when they don't need to be they are still good machines in fact better machines than anything out there, but they cripple the machines after a certain amount of time and that is unacceptable

I built an app that should've cost $50K and taken three months. Instead it took me a single weekend. Earlier this year I started a new events + media company called @TheShortlistNYC It's a platform for top operators to meet founders of the fastest-growing startups in NYC. We needed a way to handle hundreds of introduction requests every event. So I built an app on @Lovable. Attendees opt in for an intro. If the founder opts in too, an intro is mode. In the last few months, it's made over 500 introductions and helped place multiple roles. 3 years ago, a project like this would have required a PM, two engineers, a designers, 3 months of dev work, and $50K. Today I did it solo, while watching Netflix. I'm not an engineer. Every operator in tech needs to figure out what they can build in a weekend. The ones who do are going to have a 10x advantage.
