@AlphaOM3G1 @omarvvvr I'm not trying to pick up Internet fight with you. I don't even know you, but the reality is Apple does in fact retire their old devices. If you look at old phones, they slow them down and for MacBook Pros in the 2011 era those batteries have to run for the computer to run

@sflanders95 @omarvvvr Sounds like : Failed battery Most likely if it won't power on from AC alone.Replacing the battery often fixes it. Faulty MagSafe charger or DC-in board Check the MagSafe LED lights up. SMC/power-management issue An SMC reset is worth trying. Or finally Logic board failure

What's the biggest problem with MacBooks?

@nalinrajput23 macOS just because it has a UNIX environment running natively and it can run parallels which runs Windows just fine. I think a MacBook Pro is a developers useful device just because it can run all three environments at once with ease. It does not have any hiccups. It just works.

@AlphaOM3G1 @omarvvvr My late 2012 macbook refused to start. I found out that there is an egg timer on the battery. The battery was just fine, but it would not run on AC power.. failure to boot means there is no room for a dual boot

@AlphaOM3G1 @omarvvvr That actually doesn't work because once the battery egg timer runs out, the laptop will no longer work. They actually cripple the battery and you can't run off of AC power at all. It has to run off the battery. They actually cancel their own battery even when it's running fine.

@Taniyatweets_ More the better, but reasonable is the minimum needed, supplemented by a huge swap space. Video debugging requires tons of ram. Normal db access is adequate to purchase a mb that can handle normal ram usage, with swap on a solid state

@nishithX26 actually, it is the Apple doctrine of expiring devices that still work perfectly. They slow them down, they expire batteries based on a simple count. They expire devices that are still totally good. That is the problem!

biggest problem with MacBook

@codevsdev 90% of the time is spent rewriting the AI queries so that the "hallucinations" are at a minimum.
