The Bronx, Manhattan, NJ and parts of CT are historically Yankees towns. BK, QNS and LI lean Mets. You'll find lifelong Mets fans outside these strongholds from Dodgers/Giants lineage. If you move to BK from elsewhere, Citi Field is easier to get to. TY for your attention.

@RossBarkan I grew up in Massachusetts. Both parents from Queens, one a met Dana and one a Yankee. I’m 40 and moved here after college. I still root for the Red Sox. My children who grew up here root for the Yankees as does my wife who’s from Jersey. Childhood should inform fandom choices

Walk the streets of Greenpoint, Williamsburg, Bushwick, Ridgewood, Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights, Prospect Heights. Find a baseball fan who moved to NYC as an adult. Vast majority are Mets fans.

Why would killing Khamenei result in capitulation, peace and the emergence of a more democratic Iran? Every conflict in the West is explained as being caused by a bad man holding a nation captive, and if we can remove that bad man, there will be peace. Today’s military strikes on Iran — carried out by the United States and Israel — mark a catastrophic escalation in an illegal war of aggression. Bombing cities. Killing civilians. Opening a new theater of war. Americans do not want this. They do not want another war in pursuit of regime change. They want relief from the affordability crisis. They want peace.
I am focused on making sure that every New Yorker is safe. I have been in contact with our Police Commissioner and emergency management officials.
