@BootsVernon It's not the UK's oil, it's the oil companies It's like having two dozen chickens in your garden laying eggs, but the eggs belong to the supermarket, so regardless of how many they lay, you still have to buy them from ther supermarket. This is thanks to Thatcher and the Tories.

If you have two dozen chickens in your garden laying 24 eggs a day, why would you then go and buy your eggs from the supermarket instead? How is this different to buying oil and gas from abroad when we have massive reserves of it in the north sea? We're still burning oil and gas so why not burn our own? Pure madness.

@DavidVance 🇺🇸 attack on 🇮🇷 had NOTHING to do with NATO. Might as well say: 🇪🇸 is a member of OECD. 🇪🇸 denied the 🇺🇸, also a member of OECD, access to its Airspace when conducting attacks on 🇮🇷. We are told 🇪🇸 cannot be removed from OECD despite this. So it’s time🇺🇸just left it.

@David_Cassidy3 @RealCarlVernon It's crazy, I've never heard anything like this stupid idea. Imagine if we were in a situation where a 17 year old couldn't buy alcohol and a 18 year old person could?! Or where a 70 year old has to re-apply for the driving license, and a 69 year old doesn't?

@RealCarlVernon They're not banning smoking. They're making it illegal for anyone born on, or after, Jan 1st 2009, to purchase tobacco, even if they live to 100. Fast forward 20 years: A 37-year old man won't be able to purchase tobacco, but a 38-year old man will. Utterly absurd 🤡

Here in the UK they just banned smoking for under 17s for a lifetime. They’re just about to do the same in Canada. You’re not meant to notice how seemingly independent countries are all being systematically destroyed and taken over together.

@RockyAtotheK You're talking about Performative Domesticity, not "traditional values". You're conviently forgetting about financial dependency, zero assets, no going out, bodily autonomy, no driving etc. Nice tatoos, BTW, you can't have them because you have no money to pay for them.

@Jasoncheung @peterrhague That;'s the point @Jasoncheung - the batteries for the iPhone 15, for example £20, new! It's the service that's cost the £100 to open up the device, swap the battery and then close it up again. iPhones are supported for 5-7 years. You might need 2 additional batteries.

@AndyMcCall @peterrhague Replacing an iPhone battery is pretty straightforward in HK and mainland China. It's a very competitive business and convenient. As for the price, let me know if you can get a new battery for iPhone 17 for £30.

@FalkTG I don't respect the American people. 1/3rd of them support Trump. 1/3rd of them don't care enough to stop him. So 2/3rds of them are people I don't respect. That's the overwhelming majority of Americans.

You don’t have to respect Trump, but we Europeans should always pay the due respect to the American people. They rescued our continent three times in the last century. We shouldn’t be short-sighted.

🤦‍♂️ You need to stop listening to Keynesians. They have always been wrong about everything. It is objectively true. Wealth is created in concentration and it dissipates organically. Their argument is that less is spent proportionately as wealth increases. This is a myopic take. Wealth creation at every level exists and it all benefits us and it is all dissipated eventually. It does far more good to compound wealth creation than increase the government's share of it. See all of human history everywhere for the evidence of that.🙄

Said this before but I’ll say it again. Just one lifetime ago in the UK, our fathers could buy a home, buy a car, have 3 to 4 children, wives could stay home, take annual vacations, and then retire… all on one middle-class salary. What happened?

It is objectively true. There is not a fixed amount of inequitably distributed wealth. Wealth must, in fact, be created. When I build a house I create the value of that house and it is added to the economy. Wealth creation is how we get richer. It has dragged 4bn out of poverty in the last half century. Stealing from competent wealth creators to give to incompetent, corrupt, and wasteful politicians makes us all poorer. The state is a parasite and the private sector is the host. When you actually start creating wealth you will begin to understand... presuming you have a >functional IQ.

@PWestoff The drive was a beter quality of life via wages. Between 1960 and 1990 graduates took home 50% more pay than non-graduates. You've also not included polytechnic's, so the 1960/80 figure is actually double what you've quoted.

Percentage of British schoolchildren at University: 1960: 5% 1980: 15% 2025: 52% Most Universities provide literacy/numeracy lessons today. Why the drive to get 50% of schoolchildren into University? Because they are Far-Left Political Indoctrination Centres. Change my mind.

@markcr2021 @MikeBales Obama gave $1.7b, which was a refund for military equipment Iran bought from the US and they didn't deliver. Any other money was already Iran's, sat in US accounts. The curren toll on the Humaz caused by Trump gives Iran $7.3b per year.

@MikeBales Iran wouldnt voluntarily join a treaty that involves international overwatch of their nuclear programs if they were trying to build a nuke... also part of the deal, which Trump was gonna agree to, would have unfrozen $20B in Iranian assets... over 10x as much as Obama.

So, let me get this straight—if we get nuked, it will be by missiles with the technology given to China by Clinton. It will be funded by Iran with money given to them by Obama. The warheads they developed with uranium were sold to Russia by Hillary. ... but through all of this, Trump is the traitor. Ok, got it. Makes sense to me!

@MikeBales Obama gave $1.7b. This was for military equipment Iran bought and the US didn't deliver. The rest of the money already belonged to Iran, it's just it was sat in a US account. Trump's actions give Iran $7.3b PER YEAR in tolls. Yes, it's Trumps fault, hope that makes sense.

We have 2 converted farm buildings on our farmyard that we let out to holidaymakers. We never hit the Welsh government’s recent target of letting them out for over 182 days a year (even though they’re available all year) because we’re inland, not in the coast. They’ve just sent us a backdated premium (additional 50%) council tax bill for the last three years. It’s over £26,000. I am seriously concerned for my husband’s mental health. We can’t pay that. We can’t sell them as they’re not suitable for permanent accommodation. We can’t rent them out as they’re not classed as permanent accommodation. What the actual fuck are we meant to do here?!!

As a Brit, I can tell you the disappointment with our government runs deep right now. We’re sitting on massive North Sea reserves that could power the country, create thousands of jobs in places like Aberdeen, and slash energy bills, yet our politicians refuse to drill because of their net-zero obsession and green virtue-signalling. Instead, we’re forced to import oil (often at a premium) while households and businesses take the hit with sky-high prices and blackouts looming. The incompetence starts at the top with the PM @Keir_Starmer and his team @UKLabour , who’ve prioritised ideology over practicality, leaving ordinary people to bear the pressure through crippling costs, declining living standards, and a sense of national decline. It’s frustrating watching common-sense energy independence ignored while Europe struggles. Time for a serious rethink before it’s too late. Trump’s right – DRILL, BABY, DRILL makes sense. 🇬🇧 Put Britain first.
