We're another day closer to the 1 yr anniversary of @Glenbrookprop closing The Electric Cinema. The 115yr of heart of independent art in the city. Today we're calling on Birmingham politicians to use the 1st March anniversary to reiterate support for saving The Electric

1st year Geography students are being sent on group self-guided walking tour around town this week. I've amended my group's instructions to point out iconic places such as the red cage carpark, The Old Crown, the former site of Mr Egg and The Ramp. #LocalGuide

Chart shows effects of direct tax and benefit changes since 2010. Low income households hit by benefit cuts. Tax increases have hit top 10%. Those on middle to upper middle incomes (Middle England?) have gained from chunky tax cuts. Polls suggest middle England not grateful?
