@CardGameNomad You have to remember most people in this hobby now are NPC's who just follow hype. They have to believe it'll work out because they're obsessed with money. Go to a Pokémon show and meet the average person now who isn't an OG collector. They're legit mindless.

I could write a longer, drawn out tweet why Pokemon investing is dumb as your sole investing avenue, but I’ll just say this….. If you have $10k in modern sealed and hold it for 30 years, you will reach a point where most of it will not move. There will never be a customer base as large as the WOTC nostalgia boomers. As someone who works directly with kids, the amount of kids who have never heard of or considered checking out Pokemon as a franchise is low, meaning that the potential customer base to buy all the sealed being held today will be extremely limited. You will not have as many buyers for Evo Skies in 30 years as we do with WOTC, but the amount of it being kept sealed is probably 100x or more 🤷‍♂️

ALERT: Teens sentenced for manslaughter after texting someone they believed to be a p*dophile, luring him to meet up, and attacking him. Alexander Cashford, 49, met a 16-year-old girl who was on vacation in an arcade in Leysdown, England. After exchanging numbers, the group she was with believed Cashford was a p*dophile and plotted to attack him. Using a fake name, Sienna, they messaged with and lured Cashford to a beach, where they brutally attacked him and even hit him with rocks and a bottle. Cahsford was found lying face down on the beach, suffering multiple injuries, including fractured ribs and a collapsed lung. One of the defendants said he believed he did the right thing when asked about the attack. When asked why he felt this way, he responded, “Because I feel like the police wouldn’t have done anything.” The girl, 16, and a boy, 15, who cannot be named because they are not 18, were acquitted of murder but will be sentenced for manslaughter.
