[🚨Important Clarification]
Yesterday I refuted @Alhaqqan90 for his Instagram post, where he claims that card tricks are not Haram according to Ahlul Ilm. I want to clarify some important points regarding that post:
1. It's true that not all scholars hold the sleight of hand to be Kufr Akbar that removes a person from the fold of Islam. So putting a cross over this brother's face and using strong language against him was not correct, as it maligns his personality and manhaj, and it's not the right way to address the concern.
I apologize for that and I hope that he forgives me.
2. There's definitely a group of scholars that DO consider it to be Kufr Akbar that removes a person from the fold of Islam.
2. Majority of scholars still consider it to be HARAM, a form of deception and trickery that are prohibited in Islam.
Now back to the real concern, a person like Al-Haqqan, who has a huge following on his Instagram (over 230k followers) and his videos reach millions. Even if there is a small group of scholars who held such sleight of hand tricks to be "permissible", making a general statement like "Ahlul Ilm did not say that it is Haram" opens the door for the laymen to perform such magic tricks, participate in magic shows, watch magic shows online and normalize it in their Muslim households. Especially when magic/sorcery has become so glorified and normalized in video games, movies, novels, cartoons etc. and there are well known magicians who are revered and respected by the general public for their "skills" in such magic tricks.
Furthermore, many of these magicians even mix real magic that involves Shayateen and claim to have knowledge of the unseen in their tricks. So such tricks are no doubt a stepping stone to real magic.
I have attached an audio clip of Shaykh Salih Al Fawzan Hafidhahullah who EXPLICITLY mentions many tricks performed by acrobats in the circus and harshly condemns them, calling them Kufr.
Hence, I ask the brother to delete his video, as it implies a general approval of these tricks when we know what it leads to and how strongly many senior scholars condemn it.

First of all, illusionary magicians do claim knowledge of the unseen. Not all of them, but many absolutely do. They claim mind reading, possessing special powers, ability to do certain things that others can't do and so on. So execution of illusionary magicians is not excluded from the ruling of execution as explained by Shaykh Ibn Baz رحمه اللّٰه.
Secondly, the verse about the Magicians of the Fir'aun is very clear, "Appeared to him as though", which shows that this is indeed illusionary magic, and Allah سبحانه وتعالى still described them as Magicians.

Shaykh Ibn Baz رحمه اللّٰه himself explained this, clearly indicating the mere tricks are also from the illusionary magic:
Translation (meaning):
Question: “There are people called magicians/sorcerers who perform acrobatic tricks and practice the shirk of illusion (deceptive magic)…?”
Answer by Shaykh Ibn Baz رحمه اللّٰه:
If they are recognized, their case should be referred to the ruler/authority. If they are in this kingdom, their matter should be raised to the ruler so that they may be executed.
Question: How can one distinguish between acrobatic tricks and magic?
Shaykh:
It becomes known, it becomes known. Some groups of people deceive others. One of them may appear to bring eggs, birds, or similar things out of his mouth — this is illusionary magic. Many people have told us that during performances they see him bringing a bird or an egg out of his mouth when in reality there is nothing there. And they see him walking on a rope when in fact no one has walked on the rope. All of this is deception and illusion, like the work of Pharaoh’s magicians: they placed ropes and staffs on the ground, and the people imagined them to be snakes.

@ArabicWithEase @Alhaqqan90 if shaykh al fawzan actually means what is intended then he'd be incorrect on sleight of hand tricks being kufr in and of itself, the tafseel on the type of sihr that is kufr is mentioned by ibn baz and others 1/2

There is nothing in this screenshot that indicates that scholars hold such tricks to be permissible as Al-Haqqan claimed. In fact, nothing in your screenshot indicates that either.
Here is a fatwa from Shaykh Ibn Baz رحمه اللّٰه, do you think Sh. رحمه اللّٰه was unaware that such tricks performed in circus are merely illusionary tricks?

How do they not come under Sihr Takhyeeli? Literally the distinction between Sihr Haqiqi and Takhyeeli is that there is assistance of Shayateen/Jinn involved in Sihr Haqiqi, but that's not the case with regards to Sihr Takhyeeli.
This audio of Shaykh Al Fawzan Hafidhahullah makes it ABSOLUTELY CLEAR that the illusionary tricks, that are not done through the aid of Jinn/Shayateen are still Kufr Akbar.
The Shaykh explicits mentions many tricks performed by Acrobats/Illusionary magicians in circus shows, and then says "This is not Sihr Haqiqi, rather it is Sihr Takhyeeli", and he says that this is "kadhib" (lie, falsehood), and he also says that anyone who is "pleased with it" has disbelieved. It could not be more clear than this.

Completely false analogy. If some Raaqi asked for your sister's photograph, or your daughters photograph or your nephew's photograph and their names and DOB for identification, would you say they have the Asl from the Sahabah? That's ridiculous.
Asking for the date of birth, photograph and name of your mother by no means has any Asl for Ruqyah from the Sahabh.
When traveling for Hajj by taking a mode of travel (camel, horse, airplane, bus etc.), the Asl does not change, which is to travel to hajj by taking a means of travel.

Did the Sahabah perform ruqyah on people they had never seen, didn't know, and had no information about? Or did they know who they were performing ruqyah on?
You provided the analogy yourself: travelling to Hajj by camel is the asl, the airplane is the modern means. By your own logic, knowing your ruqyah patient is the asl, the photo and details are the modern means. The structure is identical. You have answered your own objection.

Your Usool is batil. Which Sahabah used to identify the person by asking the date of birth of one's mother, her photograph and her name? Did the Sahabah used to ask the person to bring her mother with him, so they could see her face? Did they used to confirm her name and her date of birth?
Which Salaf mentioned this as a legislated form of identifying a person for Ruqyah? SubhanAllah.

As far as printed Mushafs are concerned, then the question is, did the written Mushafs exist at the time of Sahabah and the Salaf? And the answer is yes. Even paper was used at the time of Salaf, which is the best generation.
Now the question is, we have the usool that writing the Qur'an down is permissible. So why would there be any problem in writing it down using a machine or hand? The مقاصد remain the same, and the origin (اصل) is found in the religion.
Just like traveling for Umrah and Hajj was done on camels and Horses, but traveling by buses and airplanes is permissible? Why? Because the اصل is found in the Deen, which is to travel by some means.
As for identifying the person for Ruqyah using the face/photograph, date of birth and name of her mother, then it has no Asl in the deen.

I provided you the usul: the need to identify the patient. And the Sahaba did not use automated printers to distribute the Quran, they used animal skins and oral recitation.
Will you say now the modern mushafs that are printed using machines are now haram because the Sahaba did not use the same?

You didn't provide any evidence for asking the date of birth, name of mother and the photographs! Where is the evidence that any of the Sahabah used to ask this information? Or the Salaf? This is from the signs of a Raaqi who does not abide by the Qur'an and Sunnah. The religion is what Allah said, what Prophet صلى اللّٰه عليه وآله وسلم said and what the Sahabah said.

As for connecting this to the Quran and Sunnah, the information being asked for is to identify the individual, and while they didn’t have photographs then, they surely had eyes to see what that individual looked like.
Therefore, had you gone to a Sahabi or Salaf for ruqya, they would have seen you, negating the need for a photograph.

Ya akhi, do not waste your time with this individual. It's enough that he claims this without any evidence from the Qur'an and Sunnah. Which of the Sahabah رضي اللّٰه عنهم or Salaf رحمهم اللّٰه used to ask for the date of birth and photographs? Photos didn't even exist at their time!
Follow the Prophet صلى اللّٰه عليه وآله وسلم, indeed he ﷺ is the best example for us to follow. If he said that recite last 3 Surahs of the Qu'ran in the morning and evening and it will suffice you of everything, then what else do we need?
Pray 5 times a day, do your daily Adhkaar, perform Ruqyah and it will be sufficient for you, no need to fear any magicians, nothing can overcome the protection from Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala.

Make a habit of Ruqyah every morning and evening. A convenient time would be after Maghrib or Asr Salah (Evening) and after Fajr Salah (morning).
The Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi wa Sallam) said: Recite Surah al-Ikhlas and two last Surahs of the Qur'an, in the morning and evening three times, and it will suffice you for everything . [ Abu Dawood and al-Tirmidhi ]

This Khabeeth Ash'ari blinded by his hatred for the Salafis, is actually agreeing with the Kuffaar that the Shar'i act of kissing the black stone is outwardly a pagan act. This is kufr.
We Salafis believe that every act legislated by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala is a noble and righteous act, free from any outward resemblance or link to paganism or Shirk.
