@Hassel_Chris I remember how I felt after that Vegas loss in ‘87. Gutted. Iowa was the best team in the country that year. Indiana wins the title. Iowa had put up 101 on them. Feels like yesterday.

Just got off phone with dad. He told me about the last time Iowa was in the Elite 8 in ‘87. I was 2 and we were living at his brother’s house in Davenport & he had just accepted his first big job in Muscatine. He worked there for 35 years and retired. And Iowa is finally back.

That game might’ve been the best basketball game I’ve ever seen. Back and forth until it absolutely wasn’t. Refs non-factor. Bennett. Pryce. Unsung heroes. A “Mayor” lost it for the loser. The game had it all. Imposed their Will!!!! #EliteEight Hawkeyes!!!!!
