@mwarger Personally I'd suggest aliasing `mix deps.get` to `["deps.get", "usage_rules.sync --yes"]` then there is no need for a claude hook even 😎

The usage_rules package for @AshFramework / Phoenix tells you to re-sync skill files whenever your deps change. That's good advice, but it's also the kind of thing that's easy to forget and perfect to automate. One Claude Code PostToolUse hook later, it just happens. Every `mix deps.get` now automatically triggers `mix usage_rules.sync --yes`.

@AshFramework You still playing games. It's 2026, no one writes code any longer, no one reads console warnings. The only way to avoid this is to never generate invalid files. And yes, 500+ loc skills are invalid.

Something I love about Ash: it's got escape hatches for complex requirements. While I was prototyping the Phoenix Sync video, I found a way to use an Ash Change to emit the Postgres transaction ID as a custom header with ash_json_api.

Finally built an Ash.Type `:i18n_text` that i'm happy with and it is easy to work with. You define a single ENV variable for the supported langauges and Bada Bim Bada Boom! Thank you Claude Code and my brain :D @AshFramework
