It’s a good and fair question. In all honesty, Ben Carson was my pick. But Trump was endorsed, and for me it was what I frequently called “the lesser of two evils.” Sounds pretty pathetic hearing it out of my own mouth now. Evil is evil. Different sides of the same coin when you really think about it. I get it, and all that have responded “for me” to your question. I’m not a Christian Nationalist, as many have accused me of. But I am a conservative, so the Republican Party values have aligned with mine closer than the democrats. Hindsight is 20/20. Trump did play us like a fiddle. Catering to our Christian values. Until he didn’t and it was clear he sold himself to the devil like everyone else who has ever run and filled this office.

Joy, As a Christian, may I ask why you were previously untroubled by Trump's actions. To us, from a distance, it seems nigh on incomprehensible that Trump could garner so much of the evangelical vote, as his values seem so far removed from your avowed ones. Can you explain? Tks
