All BSC Chapel Testnet node operators must complete a mandatory upgrade ahead of the BEP-658: Osaka/Mendel hardfork. What you need to do by 24 March, 02:30 UTC: 🔸 Download the latest v1.7.1 release: github.com/bnb-chain/bsc/… 🔸 Restart your node after upgrading 🔸 Confirm your node is syncing correctly after the upgrade If you run infrastructure on Chapel Testnet, plan your upgrade window now to avoid disruption. Nodes that are not upgraded by the deadline will stop syncing with the network. More details on the upcoming Osaka/Mendel hardfork 👇 github.com/bnb-chain/BEPs…

Node operators take note: Erigon is no longer supported on BNB Chain. To avoid disruption, migrate to Reth or Geth as soon as possible. With the upcoming Mendel hardfork, Erigon will be fully incompatible. Resources: • github.com/bnb-chain/rethgithub.com/bnb-chain/bscgithub.com/bnb-chain/reth…

BNB Chain is updating its execution client support to strengthen network performance and long-term stability. As part of this strategic shift, NodeReal will sunset support for the BNB Chain Erigon client by the end of 2025. To prepare the community for what’s next: • Erigon support will end on Dec 31, 2025. All node operators running Erigon should begin planning their migration well ahead of the deadline. • Reth-BSC is now joining our recommended client list. Built in Rust, Reth delivers faster execution, lower resource usage, and a modular design fit for future upgrades. • Client diversity remains a core priority. BNB Chain will officially support two execution clients: – Reth (Rust-based) – Geth (Go-based) This transition reflects a community-driven focus on next-generation clients that offer stronger performance and efficiency. NodeReal’s decision to discontinue Erigon support also aligns the ecosystem around clients built for long-term reliability. What node operators need to do now: Migrate from Erigon to either Reth or Geth before December 31, 2025. Begin testing early to ensure a smooth transition. Migration resources are available here: • github.com/bnb-chain/rethgithub.com/bnb-chain/bscgithub.com/bnb-chain/reth… BNB Chain will continue working closely with the community to support this upgrade and reinforce a secure, high-performance multi-client ecosystem.

Reminder: BNB Chain Erigon support has already ended (Dec 31, 2025). Node operators still on Erigon should move to Reth (Rust) or Geth (Go) now. After the Mendel hardfork, Erigon will no longer be compatible with the network. Start migrating: • github.com/bnb-chain/rethgithub.com/bnb-chain/bscgithub.com/bnb-chain/reth…

Important update for node operators: support for the BNB Chain Erigon execution client ended on Dec 31, 2025. If you are still running Erigon, you should migrate to Reth or Geth as soon as possible. This change follows the earlier announcement that @NodeReal_io would discontinue support for the BNB Chain Erigon client as part of a broader shift to strengthen performance, stability, and long-term client diversity. Going forward, BNB Chain officially supports two execution clients: • Reth (Rust-based) • Geth (Go-based) Erigon is no longer supported. Following the upcoming Mendel hardfork, it will also become fully unsupported and incompatible with the network. What node operators need to do now: If your infrastructure is still running Erigon, begin migration immediately and move to either Reth or Geth. This includes testing your setup, validating compatibility, and completing the transition ahead of Mendel.
