I've started writing the date on lightbulbs when I install them, so I can tell how long they last. I don't do anything with this data, but it allows me to dial in just how annoyed I should be when changing them.

I just set up a new printer. A Brother MFC-L3750CDW (a beast). Powered it on, connected it to the wifi, updated its firmware. Sat down at my Linux desktop. It found the printer automatically and printed without issue on the first try. This can't be real, can it?
