He's very good but is there to serve a purpose whereas Hopkins' Hannibal is fundamental to the entire film & requires a bravura performance. I revisit Manhunter more often tho. An astonishing film.

Not really. Will Graham's home in MANHUNTER was on Florida's Gulf Coast, which in the 1980s was not nearly as popular or trendy as the Atlantic Coast havens like Miami. More relaxed and more blue collar. Yes, the resident/owner of that house was a famous and wealthy artist, but the movie doesn't linger on the house, which in any case is not a mega mansion. I had a hard time even finding good photos of its exterior. Instead, Mann focuses on the colors the beach environment provides.

The Europeans are not dealing with “a man.” They are dealing with the United States of America. The United States needed the most innocuous kind of cooperation from them. They denied the United States that cooperation. The implied argument is that their obligations within our alliance depend on whether they like the guy we chose as our president. “Sure, we’re allies…if we approve of who you elected.” Nope. We are not going to forget, and we’re not going to forgive. I’m indifferent to their excuses or their rationalizations. The United States of America needed their help and not very much help. They turned us down. That changes everything. And they aren’t going to like how it changes everything.

On this Day in 1986.. Ian Rush fires the Reds into the FA Cup Final with a brace of goals to defeat Southampton at White Hart Lane..still pissed at yesterdays limp exit, would have been another Reds/Saints semi to contest 40 years on if they turned up..🙄

Those in the know are fully aware how amazing Ronnie Whelan was His injuries were vital Negatives for us not winning the title in 1991 and killed Souness before he ever got started Was never replaced with the same quality until Didi Hamann arrived However 81 to 88 were the prime years

@Emzyl_ Mo is the greater Liverpool player for his achievements but peak Barnes was better than peak Salah. It was like Barnes had been beamed in from another planet. Unfortunately, he had the Achilles injury which curtailed him but for 4 years, he was the dominant player in the league
