This is NOT a bombshell. Any attorney would know this. Document 77 is a routine correction in an APA case. DOJ admits it misstated whether the 2025 ICE courthouse guidance applied to EOIR immigration courts, withdraws only the affected portions of prior briefs and preserves all other defenses. Not misconduct, not policy collapse, lawyers correcting the record. The case continues unchanged on the merits.

According to documents filed this morning by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of NY, ICE has been lying for a year — not only to the public, but to the courts and to prosecutors — about being authorized to make arrests at 26 Federal Plaza and other immigration courts. This is genuinely a bombshell. All courthouse arrests should cease immediately. There should be a Congressional investigation & civil rights actions for every illegal abduction of immigrants trying to follow the rules and appear in court.

Wait for the ending. A black guy tossed his stuff into the trunk of an Uber. When the trunk slammed, the Uber thought it was the back door shutting and pulled off. After maybe ten seconds, he realized his mistake and turned around in the parking lot to retrieve the passenger. The low-impulse passenger tried to resolve the situation with violence and learned a very harsh lesson. We are not your punching bags.
