Fat ugly bastard with greasy hands, neckbeard and is balding (the Norwood reaper caught me)

ik people who only watched playthroughs of the game they liked yet understood the story better than other people who actually played it lol it rlly doesn't matter to me

many reasons 1. accessibility 1a. money 1b. age 1c. platform/device 1d. region 1e. game is not on market 2. enjoyment 2a. game is more story than gameplay 2b. gameplay is lackluster/not necessary 3. previewing before buying 4. etc who are you to be policing?

If we gatekept gaming fandoms to only people who purely played it there would be fucking NOTHING we NEED passive consumers and engagers, and if youre well versed in the series despite not playing the games, YOU ARE A FAN. (Minus gameplay discussion)

@denimneverdies again if you can't grasp the concept of someone watching playthroughs of a game they would otherwise be playing right because not everyone has 500 dollars for a console/gaming gear at their disposal, you're a classist

Man I would have loved to play god of war, but I couldn’t because I didn’t have s PlayStation or pc as a kid. So I had to watch people like jacksepticeye play it because I couldnt afford a console. To call someone a larper for that is honestly classist and privileged

Modern fandom culture should have been abandoned after 2020. I do not understand the desire to be a part of one so bad when they are horrible and restricting environments nearly all the time. You care more about being able to talk about something and fitting in than enjoying it

this discourse is so tiring bc the only thing to say is why do you care? why do you care that some random 14 year old who you dont even know is watching a youtube walkthrough instead of spending their parents money on a 40$ game. like HOW does this bother anyone in the slightest

i do not understand the YOU HAVE TO PHYSICALLY PLAY A GAME TO UNDERSTAND IT THATS THE ONLY WAY discussion. Like dude i think it depends

this argument is starting to sound awfully classist

sorry I cant take "larp" gaming discourse seriously cause it's all bs spouted by people who've never had to deal w the fact that having consoles or computers is a privilege some people just don't have
