@startkyIeorton Curtis Conway was my favorite Bear growing up. Have a jersey and a decent card collection that is worth about $0.62 total nowadays

Also I discovered a spot where Curtis Conway auto corrected to Curtis Cunningham and I didn't catch it and my editor didn't catch it bc I'd bet he doesn't know who Curtis Conway is so my deepest apologies for letting everyone down there

@startkyIeorton Maybe I’m naive but I couldn’t believe that Kwami would go rogue and draft JJ without KOC’s approval. Remember all those times people dunked on us for hiring Poles over Kwami?

@iamcogs @TheBearsShow That’s why I don’t understand why they didn’t just throw a buttload of money at Trey and structure it all for 2027. Maybe it doesn’t work like that, but 🤷‍♂️

@TheBearsShow That's not even factoring cuts to Dayo/Jarrett, we hit 100m pretty easily with the 13th most rostered players in 2027.

@startkyIeorton Back in my hated tequila because of a bad night years, I was at the bar players go to after training camp and Alex Brown bought a bottle of Patron. I was the last person when he made the rounds and ended up with 3 shots. So yeah, I basically did die for Alex Brown.

@iamcogs @startkyIeorton he is being a little defensive and attempting to get his followers to echo his sentiments, some might consider that a little condescending. he could simple have a conversation, instead of pushing his own work which clearly supports his own narrative lol

I watch the games, but if I say "well I don't like Bo Nix he's scared of the MOF" you'll say who cares you're just some guy so I back up my observation w stats and then you say "Durr Watch Da Games" even tho you started this convo talking about his post bye *stats*
IronElk@IronElk27

@startkyIeorton numbers are one thing. watching the game is another. numbers make you lazy when it’s comes to analyzing football players. stats and raw numbers are a tool but not the definitive tool that is commonly spoken on twitter.

They should probably have learned this lesson bc all of the "Eberflus fits" also are either gone or look terrible in a different scheme (Gervon). Just draft good players and make the DC figure it out.
Matt Philbin@NFLDRAFTBLOG

The average defensive coordinator is 3 years. If the Bears defense doesn’t drastically improve this year, who’s to say Ben doesn’t try and find an upgrade. You draft the player that’s most likely to have long term success and it’s up to your DC to make it work

@NecessaryPause He will be the highest paid in the next 12-14 months. He can get a new deal beginning next February. I would think they do it before they pick up his fifth year option which on May 1, 2027

Cap management is not just about the current year but also planning for future years. Within the next 12 months, Darnell Wright will be a top 2 paid tackle and Caleb will be the top paid QB. In order to do that, you can’t go out a foolishly spend cap dollars on players that don’t have a long term future. Fans think about today.poles job is to think about this year and the next 3 years. It means being careful with who gets paid and has nothing to do with cash available. There has been a myth for years that the Bears don’t spend and it’s fucking laughable how untrue that statement is

Hey so we have a big effing problem here. I have never been MAGA, have always opposed the alt-right, and you attributed views in this to me that I've never held. Sloppy reporting by @SamAdlerBell and I'd want a retraction. This is patheic. Growing up thinking feminism is a dirty word does not put me in the camps you're describing here and if you were unsure of that you should have at least asked for my clarification before writing this.

In the Trump era, many young women were attracted to the New Right because it felt less constrained, stuffy, and dogmatic than the left. Perhaps it was. A little sexism was a small price to pay for entry to a party without Woke-scolds policing the playlist. For women especially, contempt for feminist pieties, if deftly channeled, could be one’s ticket to stardom. Now, a growing group of right-wing women — both prominent personalities and loyal foot soldiers — are waking up to find that their inclusion in the MAGA movement was contingent: Sexism wasn’t merely the price of entry; it was the theme of the party. According to the conservative women @SamAdlerBell has spoken to over the past several months — all at one point active in MAGA, some active still — anxiety and disgust over sexism has been steadily growing since the beginning of Trump’s second term. It’s spiked since last fall, they say, when the movement began openly embracing Nick Fuentes, whose visceral hatred of women makes the male chauvinists of the past seem enlightened. “These men have made it very, very clear that they will ‘rape, kill, and die’ for Nick Fuentes,” Anna, who wrote for popular right-wing outlets, says. MAGA is “insisting that women subject themselves entirely to male authority, while advertising that male authority will be cruel and vicious and fickle.” Some of the right-wing women Adler-Bell spoke to feel a certain amount of regret over her complicity. “Shame and guilt and just embarrassment,” Anna says, “Just like how could I tolerate this and participate in this?” Adler-Bell reports on the women defecting from the New Right over its sexism: nymag.visitlink.me/7Gba1-

I have backed out of wanting the Bears to draft Peter Woods at 25 no further comment at this time
Jordan Reid@Jordan_Reid

#Clemson IDL Peter Woods pro day, per multiple scouts: • HT: 6021 • WT: 302 • 10-yard split: 1.74 / 1.75 • BP: DNP • 3C: 7.65 / 7.66 • SS: 4.53 / 4.54 • BJ: 8'8" • VJ: 29" Woods didn’t run a 40 because of a minor tweak in his hamstring, but he did do positional drills.

The lost part in this conversation continues to be the contract. DJ Moore is a good player, I've never said otherwise, but when he makes $28 million per year and you have 2 young ascending receivers on the team ready for bigger roles, trading him to clear up $16.5 million to help build on defense has to be under consideration. I'm open to DJ being back, but he cannot play on a $28 million cap hit under any circumstances.
Adam Jahns@adamjahns

DJ Moore created lasting Bears memories in 2025 – and he deserves the chance to make more in 2026. Stop overanalyzing the miscommunication against the Rams. Moore remains one of the team's best playmakers. My column for @CHGO_Sports. allchgo.com/dj-moore-lasti…

I am completely convinced that idiot Russian assets from Canada should stay out of our country’s business. Anyone being robbed to pay for SS should get paid out by it. And ultimately, the system should be eliminated when it inevitably buckles.
Lauren Chen@TheLaurenChen

I'm increasingly of the belief that people like this should not be given social security. They are reaping the benefits of civilization but not doing their part to perpetuate it. The population collapse is real, and its due at least in part to narcissists like this.
