@Michael97557226 @PhysInHistory For a fleeting moment, I thought of Groucho Marx: “Time flies like an arrow but fruit flies like bananas!” 😊
English

@PhysInHistory No arrow. Time flies when you are having fun. It stays constant when you are not.
English

@PhysInHistory I wonder if the perception of linear time is the inevitable construct of a human mind that struggles to find causality.
English

@Math_files And the beginning of understanding is knowing when we don’t…

@authorRobertsC @Martian_New Carol, always enjoy your poetry, but am struggling with the last line???
English

Now let me fall further
I can no longer remember
Breaths between dreams
Imprints of heart
I tried to linger
within eternal anguish
Trying to make sense
when I ran out of road
So why don’t you let me spin
between day and night
I don’t need a home
I am alright

Last day of school picture! After 30 years of teaching, tomorrow will mark my final day in education. I was reflecting on my teaching career and I believe I've taught upwards of 8,000 kids! I'm sure I'll have more to post in the next couple days when I have a chance to breathe.
Cheers to 30 years! 🥂

@BirdBrayn It is truly boundless creativity.
I don't know which shines brighter.
The overwhelming wisdom?
The captivating narrative of a beautiful story?
Or the exquisite literary statement?
I can't stop rereading this epic.
English

@Martian_New Thank you. I took this photo with my iPhone off of the back deck of the Florida home. Sometimes we encounter moments of extraordinary possibilities; the beauty and force of which is never realized until later. How many times do we miss them?

Sunday Ramblings on Change
Change is painfully agnostic and fickle. It’s good. It’s bad. But as much as we think we can unmask it; Change remains stubbornly mysterious, enigmatic, defying all context like some sort of crazy Chameleon clashing with a clear and solid background. Sometimes Change is seemingly senseless, but is alive all around us.
We cannot reliably decrypt it. Change parades in its impenetrable Halloween regalia 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Trick or treat? None of us knows what the future holds. Just when we think we know what Change will look like, it walks up as Surprise instead.
Growing up, mom hung a large oil painting she and dad procured in Paris. And though I later came to realize that same country scene has been replicated many times by tens of thousands of artists, I loved that painting.
Deep in some heavily-treed woods, beside a small but fast-rushing river, was an ancient grain mill. Mossy mold grew in the seams of the roof tiles. Now, you might think the giant turning water wheel caught my attention, but it didn’t. No. Impressive as it was, what caught my attention and ignited my imagination was the innocuous little clay path beside the mill that ran ahead along with the river bank, slicing off to the right -out of the dark forest and into a brighter, well-lit but hidden clearing. I could never see around that corner, but it drew me.
I don’t know what Change will look like now, but good or bad, I always find myself walking down the path to engage it. #creativity #imagination

It’s an expansive construct whether we are exploring the outer reaches or plumbing the inner depths of reality and our limitless imaginations.

@saniyafatma1278 Sell or donate to a worthy cause. It’s beautiful and I love the color scheme and design, but I am not a collector of vintage autos. I prefer late model cars with new tech, more amenities sans the need for frequent visits to a mechanic.
English

@lippyent Not me. I fly too much and don’t have a regular use for a pocket knife when I am not traveling.

Who still carries a pocket knife?? Hmm 🤔?¿ If So what Brand?? Hmm 🤔?¿. Case, Buck, ol timer, Barlow, Hmm #sundayvibes

Great investment moats also include sustained branding. In the 1960s, Billy Backer was a young man looking to build a career in advertising. But entry jobs were hard to find. So, he started working in the mailroom at the Ogilvy & Mather advertising agency. He wrote jingles to attract attention and the creative director began to listen. Bill had a gift for connecting brands with the ethos of the times. America was in turmoil. Civil rights. Vietnam. Kennedy assassination. Bill wrote: “Things go better with coke.” youtu.be/cF9QbEUYINg?si… Still good investment advice today. Bill also wrote: “I’d like to teach the world to sing…”youtu.be/ib-Qiyklq-Q

Wonderful repost, Dani, from the Father of Our Country -President George Washington. My dad always said: “Son, there many things you’ll want to acquire in life. Desire alone doesn’t justify them. Strive to live BENEATH your means and you will thank me later.” Thanks, dad.

@_Being_Benign thank you, Monica. Loved your book of poems. There is always the dichotomy of head and heart. Some strive to see things only through their heads, while others through their hearts. Life and reality demand both.

This woman says even working and working side jobs, but there is no way to catch up on bills
“I'm so tired of living paycheck to paycheck — I have negative money in my account”
“I have a $300 electric bill that's overdue — Medical bills up the wazoo, I have a bill for like, $3,000 from the hospital”
“Like, I can't get ahead. I wake up and I f*cking work, and these people are after me for money, and I'm like, dude, I'm literally trying my best. What do you want from me? I have side gigs here — I literally can't. I can't f*cking do this anymore.”
She says her checks are spent before even getting them

Decades ago, a beautiful young lady accepted my proposal for marriage and what an adventure we have shared! When someone suggests “marriage is dead” -DON’T YOU BELIEVE THEM! God has blessed us SO much with the highest highs. And even when we encountered the lowest lows, they weren’t so bad because we always had each other.
