@CrimsonMyrmidon @TKsMantis Yah it’s funny that you can make alliances and fix the other major factions’ problems to ensure things run smoothly for them, but when you try that for yourself, everything falls to chaos apparently

@mmm_mmph1991 @tf2huntcom You say that but you’d be surprised how often a Soldier suddenly running superfast can mess up an enemy. A Soldier with health low enough not to rocket jump is a sitting duck with his base movement speed, but the Escape Plan gives him a chance to make it to a health kit or safety

@tf2huntcom I never understood the Escape Plan glaze, because if you get down to the point where its upside actually means something, you're dead anyways and running away isn't going to help

@p250silva @tf2huntcom Combine that with the Conch to get the super speed Soldier that is a glass cannon

@tf2huntcom Ironically, the escape plan is very good for getting close to an enemy very quickly and killing him before he hits you.

@candlecav @Casey_Evans_ I was considering putting Skyrim as the defining game of the 2010s, but then I remembered just how massive Minecraft was, and frankly still is to this day.

@Casey_Evans_ For almost a decade, from 2004 to 2011, WoW was The Game. Then, Skyrim became The Game. Now it's been 15 years, and nothing has taken up the title since.

Skyrim is an incredibly flawed game but there’s just a real magic to it that so many have tried and failed to capture since that you can’t not consider it one of the greatest games of it era

i love this area so much, FollowsChalk is really entering my top10 NV characters easily, he has so many great lines and comments about the wasteland

@gorgalog @Urban__Tree I’m pretty sure I know what mod you’re talking about. I did like a fair bit of the changes the mod made, but yah, all the race swap things didn’t feel like they enhanced the characters at all. If anything it highlighted how few voice actors voiced so many characters

I remember years ago before all this shit when I found a Fallout new vegas mod that was supposed to 'improve' the appearances of certain NPC's which were supposed to be injured amongst other things. but as I read through the list of changes the mod made, like a good 70%+ of them were just "changed X NPC so their appearance matched their voice" and every time it was just raceswapping the NPC to being black because the voice actor was black, my reaction then was "this is the stupidest thing ever, characters don't need to match their voice actors" and it should have been a warning of things to come

A character’s race/ethnicity/etc should not have any influence on the voice actor who portrays them. Certain “actors” have killed this idea over the last few years causing others to step away from their roles cause they were afraid of offending the crowd. This shouldn’t be an issue…
