20 years in power and all you can offer is the SNP’s Scexit Neverendum. The number of patients waiting longer than TWO YEARS for treatment is almost 30 times higher in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 than in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 You’ve had record funding from @UKLabour government - so where’s the money gone, John?

Sorry @wesstreeting, but we’ll decide our own future - not you. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

We’ll no be taking lectures from the guy who has failed to negotiate an end to 16 doctors strikes in England at £300m a pop. Scotlands business is for the Scots to decide. Not some third rate politician from another country. #bothvotesSNP

@daz1985 @theSNP That's not a counter point is it.. that's just calling someone a fool. Perhaps try and formulate some sort of coherent response.. only there isn't one because what I wrote is factually correct.

Scotland’s future should be decided by the people who live here. Not by Westminster. Not by Labour. Not by anyone else. On May 7th, make it both votes SNP for a fresh start with independence. #BBCDN

@MaxFRobespierre @PoliticoForYou Logic would say it has to be addressed in a WM election.. and has to prove popular support. So over 50% of the votes going to pro indy parties in a WM election would make sense as a trigger for another referendum in the future.

@gordymeister @themajorityscot Exactly. Independence is a reserved matter. Holyrood elections can't be decide indy. In the 2024 WM election, 57.5% of Scotland voted for anti-indyref parties. Streeting's govt has a mandate from Scotland to reject an indyref until about 2029.

We don’t have a Scottish press and media unfortunately. We have someone else’s, which is why they have been quite comfortable going along with mandates being trampled on. They are part of it.
Rex Kwon Do@RexKwonDo_

The Scottish press and media should be screaming about this from the rooftops, as should every political party standing for election to Holyrood. Streeting is telling Scotland that Westminster doesn't care how we vote, we'll do as we're told. Democracy means nothing to them.

@mick_tagg @KennyFarq A majority of voters going pro-indy parties in a Westminster election (it's a reserved matter). Say 55% of people voted for SNP / Greens returning 50+ seats to WM.. parliament would struggle to say Scotland wasn't ready to be asked again.

Does anyone honestly believe that by voting SNP on May 7 they will see Scotland gain independence by 2028?

@ChrisMcEleny @KennyFarq It took the UK 4 years to even begin to fully unpick a much looser union with the EU.. how on earth could Scotland be decoupled from the UK in 18 months given the depth of integration?

@KennyFarq No, the referendum is 2028, assumedly independence day would be 18 months after that.

@Fergie_CJ @MikeStewart79 This whole "ruled by" talk undermines your argument. Scotland has a strong voice through Westminster and a devolved administration to manage the majority of its affairs. Scotland isn't ruled by England. Saying so just sounds silly.

@BobbyInTheNorth @MikeStewart79 And do you also think USSR countries benefited from that? Why do you think Norway doesn't want to be ruled by Sweden as one greater Scandinavia? Get off your bloody knees.

@Austin0z81 @wesstreeting @LBC Because the SNP campaigning at Holyrood on independence is like your local councillors campaigning on going to war.. it's not in their remit. Labour have a mandate to block an indyref until up to 2029. 57.5% of Scots voted for no more indyref in 2024.

English MP @wesstreeting was on @LBC attacking Scotland’s NHS. Doctors are on strike in England - again. He also said Labour will block the democratically elected Scottish government from implementing its manifesto. Labour think it’s acceptable to ignore Scottish voters. #VoteSNP

@bearsden_bhoy @mcarle17 It's not about the English deciding. UK govt have a mandate from the Scottish people not to hold an indyref this parliament. Holyrood elections don't have a bearing on that as it's not a devolved matter. There's no evidence most Scots want to be asked again so soon.

So are we doing this on Westminster votes now? Not what Labour said when the SNP won majorities at the three previous Westminster elections. Labour running scared of giving people in Scotland a say on their own future. Make it #BothVotesSNP in May and an end to Westminster chaos
Simon Johnson@simon_telegraph

Streeting the latest in a series of senior Labour people I have heard arguing the party has a democratic mandate not to allow another referendum. Party won 37 of 57 Westminster seats in Scotland in 2024 on a manifesto that ruled out an independence vote
