🚨 DeFi Safety & Security Class: Officially Wrapped Back in September 2025, the @arbitrumdao_gov granted Boring Security funding to deliver an educational program on staying safe in DeFi. The class could not have come at a better time. Since our first session in October 2025, DeFi has experienced major incidents. > $128M Balancer exploit > $50M Aave fat finger swap > $25M Resolv Labs stablecoin attack Amidst these background attacks, we taught over 200 students. For our alumni, this was more than just sitting down and listening to an online class. These classes were active sessions filled with high-quality interactions. From the students' thoughtful questions to deep discussions and real curiosity about staying safe in DeFi. A huge shoutout to the @arbitrum team. From the very first interviews, through every milestone, to smooth, timely payments. The entire experience was professional, supportive, and a pleasure to work with. All this would not have been possible without their funding and support. We’re now intentionally pausing the class to refresh and update the curriculum with the latest threats, new attack vectors, and improved defenses. Our goal remains the same: help more people navigate crypto and DeFi without getting rekt. If you joined, thank you. Your energy made it worthwhile! nobody accidentally swaps $50M into a pool with $36K of liquidity lol. fresh wallet, $50.4M from Binance, zero slippage protection, routed through the jankiest Sushiswap path possible. and then an MEV bot just happens to flash borrow $29M from Morpho in the same block and pocket $9.9M? cmon. 0xngmi called this exact play a year ago - construct a deliberately terrible swap, let a friendly bot extract the value, dirty money comes out the other side as "legit MEV profit." $154K per AAVE isn't a fat finger. it's a laundering fee

Securing Web3 through consistent, foundational education is a vital public good, yet funding this essential "boring work" remains exceptionally challenging. @redzin from @boringsecdao highlights the core issue: Most grants prioritize onboarding newcomers or introducing developers to the space. However, Boring Security focuses on advancing the skills of professionals already active in Web3, creating a difficult-to-fund "middle ground."
