I woke up yesterday feeling bummed, but woke up today feeling completely reinvigorated. Notifications maxed with a bunch of pudgy and ape pfps saying they donated 🥹 Almost 50 of you in less than 24 hours gave your support to @boringsecurity 🙏 To me this is more than about money. It shows a big reason we rock these pfps. It shows that you believe in what we’re doing over at Boring Security. Community showed up. You all showed up to something so many of us do for so little. I’ll admit, the long bear market had me thinking that this couldn’t continue the way that it is and that I’d have to pay $5k a month out of my own pocket to keep us alive. We started to run out of money and talent when apecoin fell from $1 to 10 cents and we had to stop development on our security education rpg. This year, we’re bouncing back, with new things cooking for y’all. This funding push over the last 24 hours renews my faith in web3. People say we’re all here for money and it’s a PvP world, but I don’t believe that. Never did. To the people who have donated, I’ll be forever in your debt! Not just because of the money, but because you took the time out of your day to show the thankless soldiers of security that we matter. That you want us here. Thank you for that. And for those of you who aren’t sure what we do matters to our space, of the nearly 3000 alumni who have taken our classes, we’ve seen only 1-2 of them to go on to lose assets to scams, usually on their “degen” wallets that we teach in our classes. We’re Grassroots, but effective. We hope to see you there someday if you’re not already!

🚨 Suspect your account got hacked after clicking a shady link? @redzin from @boringsecurity says: Do this right now: 1️⃣Full factory reset your computer. This completely wipes out persistent malware. 2️⃣Immediately change every password and secure ALL your accounts: - Crypto wallets - Social media - Password managers - Browser saved logins Malware does not stop at one account. It actively hunts for everything it can reach. Too many people stay compromised and keep spreading scams because they never fully kick the attacker out.
