Nobody is going to log into a bank dashboard in three to four years. I know that sounds bold. But think about the last two times banking changed its primary interface. Thirty years ago, online banking was absurd. You went to a branch. Twenty years ago, mobile banking felt the same way. Then the friction comparison became impossible to ignore and both norms dissolved. AI is the same transition, but the mechanism is different. Every prior upgrade was a self-service improvement. This announcement by @meow went a bit under the radar, but worth highlighting While there’s a ton of talk about AI agents using crypto rails “because they can’t get bank accounts” And then Meow announces that agents to get bank accounts Sure, as the agent-owner you need to KYC and will need to stay in the loop on some aspects of the workflow (prob a good thing for now), it does show that traditional banking products can evolve to meet needs of the agentic future I’m all for agents using crypto rails but don’t automatically assume agents can’t/won’t use traditional banking services

AI agents can’t open bank accounts. They’ll use DeFi. And DeFi lives on Ethereum. Borrow on Aave, trade on Aerodrome/Uniswap, earn yield onchain, you get where I'm going. That’s the shift. $ETH is the financial system for machines.

True Story: When I invested in the seed round, it was because I thought Brandon would rather die than let a customer down. I figured he was so customer-obsessed that he’d find a way to win. I was right. Profitable. Growing. Innovating. My lesson: Invest in people, not ideas.

I kid you not I just had breakfast with two friends who said they moved all of their fund banking to Meow from JPM because "everything just works how you want it to work." Their finance stack is now just Meow + Ramp. Brandon is probably the person I'd trust most to build this. He is more compliance-obsessed than anyone I've met. When they were doing crypto yields in the early days, he told all of his customers who wanted 20% terraluna yields that he wouldn't do it because the protocol was doomed to fail. He's made a number of very hard, compliance-first choices throughout Meow's life, and given the potential and threats here, he's exactly the guy I'd trust bank account agents to. *MEOW IS NOT A BANK (and we're investors)
