YC and Delve have parted ways. I still remember the day we took our YC interview at MIT. We’re so grateful to the community and every founder friend we’ve made. We'll continue to support every young founder striving to make the world a better place.

@Brazillian @JacobALinker @ASFleischman Not really. If the intention was to exclude the children of “foreigners” broadly why is there no evidence of people in the 1870s seriously questioning the citizenship of noncitizen immigrants’ US-born children? Why was it not an issue until Chinese Exclusion?

The Atlanta Journal Constitution asked me what I thought about the State's belief that, despite the use of AI hallucinated cases, the law was still on its side.

Unfortunately, no one dedicated to the rule of law should have any interest in serving as Attorney General in this Administration.

TBPN has been acquired by OpenAI! The show is staying the same and we’ll continue to go live at 11am pacific every weekday. This is a full circle moment for me as I’ve worked with @sama for well over a decade. He funded my first company in 2013. Then helped us fix a serious logjam during a critical funding round a few years later. When I took my second company through YC, he was president at the time, and then when I joined Founders Fund, the first deal I saw in motion was the post-ChatGPT round in late 2022. And as we started growing TBPN last year, he was the very first lab lead to join the show. Thank you to everyone that has been a part of TBPN until now. The last year has been the most fun and rewarding part of my career and we’re excited to have more resources than ever going forward.

@danepps I’d modify it slightly. The length of a dissent relative to the majority opinion is inversely related to its persuasiveness.

FWIW I fall into the seemingly small camp that thinks that birthright citizenship is probably required by the text of the 14A while also being a horrible policy if it extends to the children of illegal immigrants or people on vacation.

This approach represents a welcome repudiation of living constitutionalism per se. It’s going to be annoying watching the living constitutionalists celebrate these quotes and then go back to being living constitutionalists the moment this case is over. x.com/KlasfeldReport…
Adam Klasfeld@KlasfeldReports

Kav: “I get the point thinking about, ‘Gee, European countries don't have [birthright citizenship], or most other countries — many other countries in the world — don't have this.’” But he adds he’s “not seeing the relevance as a legal, constitutional interpretive matter.”

@IlyaSomin I completely disagree with this take. There is a distinct difference between the two.

As we prepare for Supreme Court oral argument in birthright citizenship case, it's important to remember every argument for denying birthright citizenship to children of undocumented migrants also requires denial for many freed slaves, thus undermining main purpose of Citizenship Clause. You so badly want Trump to be a King, all to make this protest fetish left-wingers have to come across with any ounce of legitimacy. 1.5 years protesting a ghost. Pathetic! Our Republic is plenty strong enough to have any President before the Supreme Court. Grow up!
Anthony Michael Kreis, FRHistS@AnthonyMKreis

The Chief Justice should block the president from entering the Supreme Court tomorrow. We can start a whole new tradition the first Monday in October.

@ilan_wurman First time reading through this article and I’m glad you mentioned this section My intial reaction was “have they ever read ANY legal argument???” The law nearly always avoids absolutes.
