@le_polisson @MattWallaceTech Another problem that needs to be addressed is that around 25% wont even show up to vote. That makes it really hard for blue to ever win.
English

@le_polisson @MattWallaceTech I wish they formulated it a bit better, innocent needs to be on the altar for the experiment to work but now its like those that cant push a button still push a button. Better to say all that are under voting age arnt allowed to vote = needs blue to win to not die.
English

@Thrigananadoota @grok The real answer should be, if he get caught the punishment for stealing bread is worth it since he is starving. But his plans for using the key is to risky, they punishment for getting caught is not worth it.
If he had a safe escape he would chose the key, open the door pick the

@Write4Republic Yes, but I do think they live to far away in space and time, but maybe we will run into dead civilizations ai.

@rospigge60559 Yes, just wish it still was like it used to be when you didnt need to lock your door.
English

@conquertheno Ah yes forgot about 2, why would you want that one thats just horrible.
English

@conquertheno 3 is really all I "need" but can take 5 as bonus. If 1 had been be 15 years younger that would have been interesting. You get 4 from 3. And you dont want 6 to happen supernaturally without her will.

@TiffanyxFong Im sitting. Do you stand on the bus when there is seats available?

Underrated enormous confounder on Twitter polls is the selection bias if there is an option which allows people to flatter themselves
Maybe 1 person in 100 who sees a poll answers it. The answering population will be disproportionately made up of those whose answer shoots them up with moral superiority dopamine. It’s like offering free ice cream only to those who answer a certain way
Your eyes and ears have much more to tell you about the world than any poll. Disregard them at your peril
(Every tweet about this attracts drive-by commenters stochastically parroting “cope!” but we are literally trying to save your lives. Show some gratitude)
English

@adam_newsw28111 @softcorgamegirl Yes. It really blows my mind that people are so naive, its like they all live in a gated community and think life everywhere is just like that.
English

@Broder_Bodonius @softcorgamegirl Maybe we should run this in real life.
Red you get to continue to vote.
Blue if less than 50% vote blue, blue voters lose the right to vote.
English

I will say it because it’s all over my feed anyway. Is the red button the logical choice? absolutely sure. However most blue pushers know that there are very kind hearted but not logical people in the world and I personally don’t think that’s a reason for them to die. I would push blue quite honestly I am afraid to live in a world without those people and the people with the empathy to try and save them.
English

@fruitylobster I would try if offered, but I guess its a taste you have to grow up with to enjoy. I would eat my own cow or chicken but not my pets, they where never food. For me the problem starts with eating human.
English

@wessorh @Nick_Davidov This always bugs me. In real life around 25% wont even vote and thats the main reason why blue almost automatically will loose.
English

@Nick_Davidov your model does not account for those that choose not to participate, nor does it account for bribes or counterfeit votes. Its neat but I chose to comment rather than play the game.
English

Everyone calls the RED vs BLUE button a Prisoner's Dilemma. It isn't.
It's actually game theory + decision theory + Kantian/evidential reasoning + coordination dynamics + moral cascades, all colliding in one button.
So I spent $100 in Perplexity Computer credits building an interactive calculator that takes every reason people give for pressing RED or BLUE and turns it into Expected Value math.
EV is one of the most underrated decision tools for founders, investors, managers, parents. And math doesn't have to be cold - you can put morals, feelings, and other people's feelings inside the integral.

@4res44444444 Noone will be sent to jail for pressing red, but pressing blue will result in you not getting your life insurance if you die.
Calling pressing red murder is false, calling pressing blue suicide is partly true.
English

Murder is worse than suicide

spiderking23@spiderking232
You see the red button as Murder. I see the blue button as Suicide. We are not the same.
English

@theerealtao Its really not according to the bible. Sure you can understand suicide as selfmurder, but it changes how we usually see the act. So whats left is that we rob god, "god is the life giver, and the life taker", so sure a sin but not a big one.
