@tamacgregor @SenBillFerg I agree with you. I respect @SenBillFerg for his stance on Gerry Mandering. I may vote for him as I reside in his district. I agree with you about business. I am a business owner in MD. Elected reps in MD claim to care about small business but their actions suggest otherwise!

I think that everybody is trying to do the right thing, and people are not trying to do evil. @SenBillFerg Has done some things which have earned my respect for sure. For example, his stance on total gerrymandering was a principled one. In this case, people really have to understand how business works because everybody wins when business is crushing it.

I will not be a passive bystander while families pay the price. Washington is cutting the programs Maryland families depend on, from health care to education to housing support. We're not going to just sit back and watch. In the General Assembly, we're building a firewall to protect our communities from federal overreach and budget cuts that hurt real people.

@wesbury My earlier answer was the result of glancing at your documentation. I thought it alleged a $30 penalty, not interest. There are multiple poss. reasons for the disproportionate 3c tax and $30 interest including untimely payment of estimated taxes. I don’t have enough info to help.

This is absolute insanity. The Sate of Maryland said I underpayed my 2024 taxes by 3 cents! The Comptroller paid 59 cents for a stamp to send me a letter and charged me $30.78 in interest.
