Everything Price Sufferer (but especially eggs)
The left has declared that the 20th century is non-canonical and we're rebooting from 1890s Viennese cafes. We ask questions like "what will life be like under communism" and "do Jews need a state" as if we don't have a century's worth of data that has settled this.
Benjamin Ze’ev 📚🎻🏺@ArchaeoBenjamin

If you read nothing else of the post, read the important conclusion: We need to deal with reality, not fanciful hypotheticals of "righteously" ethnically cleansing one or other people group from a land that is, and will continue to be, whether in conflict or in peace, SHARED.

The main problem isn't that these candidates are socialists. The problem is that their movement supports street militancy and house-to-house hand butchery of undesirables: Infidels and the rich.

New York City will suffer the loss of seniority & relationships, which will mean less for the City. Meanwhile, the newbies will antagonize more senior members, committee & subcommittee chairs who will be in a position to assist NYC. Mamdani is like the manager who traded 2 MVPs for unimpressive rookies likely to be sent back to minor leagues.
Dan Senor@dansenor

The idea that it’s better for NYC that the @NYCMayor catapulted an ideological fringe activist out of nowhere to topple a Democrat incumbent with seniority…is bonkers. Don’t take it from me. Take it from @RepGregoryMeeks: “Even though the mayor endorsed someone else, it's a huge loss for the mayor in trying to get the resources from DC”

the "identity politics" of the core DSA electorate: urban, college-educated whites who've gentrified a ton of formerly minority neighborhoods in the country, and their open hatred for Jewish & Black people a properly written history will look backwards and hate this image

You might not care about the fact that they hate Jews, but how about them being fucking morons?? What does this have to do with fixing NYC?? The inmates are running the asylum (and they let everyone out because they are abolitionists)
SCOOCH.NYC@david_sivella

They were chanting "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be Free" at the @nycDSA victory party. DSA followers are radicalized with obvious approval of the @NYCMayor, and were all calling for the end of @Israel last night. Still afraid of them calling you "Islamophobic"?

Look, I know people got all mad when Trump said Jews can’t keep voting for this because it’s suicide. But really, they can’t keep voting for this because it’s suicide. I mean, they can. But again. It’s suicide.

Aber Kawas won her seat in the New York State Senate race after Zohran endorsed her. She previously wrote Tumblr posts praising a jihadist convicted of plotting to blow up a Manhattan synagogue. Democratic Party is broken.

Democrats also elected a *literal* terrorist with a Hamas headband to State Senate. This is a national security threat

Anotonio Reynoso is the hip, young, hyper-progressive but just-short-of-leftist Brooklyn borough president, the Democrat of the Future circa 2023. He got his ass kicked by the updated model, a one-term state delegate who's dedicated her time in Albany to the liberation of Palestine

Last night's big wins for Mamdani-backed candidates were driven by young college grads, often at odds with the party's traditional working-class & minority base. In NY-13, the less Hispanic and more college-educated a district, the more likely it was to vote for the challenger.

Darializa Avila Chevalier had won NY13 which includes primarily historic Harlem and Washington Heights. Not a single black person at her victory party. Hardly any Latinos or Dominicans. The DSA is the most racist organization in America today.

New York election winners on a victory lap chant “Free Palestine”. This is their dream, their core organizing principle. Everything else will be discarded—just like Nazism.

Over the millennia, at every major inflection point, when Jews have faced pressure to shed their Jewishness, many (at times, most) have. So it was in ancient Egypt, medieval Spain, the German principalities post-Emancipation, and across the diaspora post-October 7. So it was in the 10th Congressional District on Tuesday. The young, those who are not steeped in the old traditions, those who have rationalized the antisemitism by insisting it’s all about Gaza or Bibi or whatever, were especially vulnerable. It’s sad but not unprecedented.
Sohrab Ahmari 🇺🇸@SohrabAhmari

How do people who say stuff like this process the fact that the Mamdani sweep was often spearheaded by young Jewish staffers — and supported by many young Jews at the rank-and-file level?
