20 yrs ago today, I started working @gatesfoundation. By far, the best part of my time has been the chance to work with @BillGates & @melindagates, two extraordinary human beings. Their generosity & tireless commitment has kept me busy and fulfilled for two decades. So grateful

I had the chance to meet with Baroness @JennyChapman, the UK’s newly appointed International Development Minister, while in London. We discussed maximizing UK resources for the most vulnerable through partnerships like @Gavi and @GlobalFund, which have saved millions of lives. Looking forward to working closely with her to support the UK’s global health and development efforts in the months and years to come.

I want to thank Melinda for her critical contributions to the Foundation from its very beginning. As a co-founder and co-chair Melinda has been instrumental in shaping our strategies and initiatives, significantly impacting global health and gender equality. Looking ahead, I remain fully committed to the Foundation’s work across all our strategies, and to realizing the opportunities we have to continue improving the lives of millions around the world. I am sorry to see Melinda leave, but I am sure she will have a huge impact in her future philanthropic work. Our foundation team is incredibly strong and deeply passionate about our work, and under the leadership of Mark Suzman, and a committed board of trustees, I am confident we will keep making substantial progress on our mission to create a world where every person can live a healthy, productive life.

New pledge of US$219m in donor support for 37 projects in 22 @IsDB_group member countries through the LLF 2.0 will not only fund projects across health, agriculture & infrastructure but also establish sustainable models for devt. This follows the UAE’s commitment of US$50m.
