What Restore Britain has achieved is remarkable. We officially became a political party in March. It’s June, and we’ve just fought our first parliamentary by-election. Third. Thousands of votes. Shocking and baffling. The strange thing seems to be the urge to offend: -Performed uncontrollable laughter (short video, at start, easily to redo or edit out). I've done a series of vids criticising official reports, and I didn't laugh about it. -Saying she knows it's mean. -Saying she offered to work for the inquiry but they refused to pay her. -The "not all Muslims" defence, because apparently they don't behave like this in their countries (they do). A theme for her. From a quick look at her X banner and website frontpage, I have the vague impression, which might be wrong, that she may have put quite a lot of time into focusing elsewhere than on Muslim populations, and this might generate hostility now that people are rejecting this line. I think this explains quite a few people's resistance to harsh realiy about the rape gangs. Her focus seems to me, from a cursory glance, to be on comforting victims or letting them tell their story. Good or ill, this focuses away from perpetrators. Also on "institutional failure" (cops and councils?). Ie not, from my cursory view, on the populations doing the raping. BTW I live on a county line and people call it a county line, including my Councillor ancestors. This lady is a (Unitary) County Councillor.
