@Cary_Bleasdale @WatcherontheWeb I have a better example, you see a flipped car with some people trying to lift it, you don't know who they are or why they are lifting the car. If not enough people help lift the car, it will fall and crush everybody trying to lift it. Will you help or not.

Some of you seem very confused The question is not, and has never been "Would you sacrifice to save others" MANY people, myself included, who have ALREADY proven they would pick red The question is "Would you put yourself in a situation in which others will be forced to save you"

@Cary_Bleasdale @WatcherontheWeb That's a radically different scenario Did the helicopter pilot choose to go to Mogadishu knowing he would die unless 51% of the other pilots also flew with him? And for no purpose beyond seeing if enough people would fly to Mogadishu to spare the lives of people that flew?

@WatcherontheWeb The point is to illustrate real life moral questions. A helicopter pilot has crashed after getting shot down in Mogidishu. You and your friend don't know if hes dead or alive. You've already been ordered not to go after him. Should you continue pushing to go after him?

Told a grumpy gym employee who never smiles that i liked his shaved head. He said “thanks, I shave it every year to honor my son who died of cancer” Normally this would throw me off and I would awkwardly apologize for bringing it up, but I thought of the grieving parents on here who have said over and over that they enjoy talking about their kids, so I asked about his son. He absolutely lit up and told me all about what a wonderful man he grew into, obviously just happy to share his memory. So thanks, everyone, for sharing. It makes a difference irl

A lady saw me taking the picture, and I’m 90% certain she’s a schoolteacher. She asked if I approved. “Not even close.” We are now in an environment where calling for the death of a political opponent and a democratically elected president is not only acceptable but encouraged. It’s hard to see a future that doesn’t involve civil war. It’s no longer Democrats versus Republicans. We are not the same. Our beliefs are irreconcilable. It’s good versus evil.

DEM: "We haven’t had an African American Republican governor since reconstruction!" ME: “The Republicans tried to elect one in Virginia.” DEM: “Okay...” 😳 ME: "Then you got a white Democrat who gerrymandered the state! It’s all crumbling, John!"

I’ve never seen people get more vicious online than they have over this red button blue button thing 🤯 People are attacking each other as if their choices are personally killing their beloved family members for real 😂

There is no objectively "best sword", because a sword needs to be paired with a fighting style in order to work. A weaponsmith at the Texas Ren Faire told me about the time he was at another Ren Faire (not in Texas), and a shirtless guy cosplaying a barbarian (I assume) admired one of the smith's Italianesque schiavonas. He picked it up, and the smith said, "Careful. It's sharp." The faux barbarian said, "Don't worry. I'm an expert." He then immediately started doing Kendo-style katana movies. The smith went to stop him, but it was too late. Faux barbarian slid the schiavona over his shoulder (perfectly safe with a katana) and the double-edged, razor blade left a 6 inch gash in his trapezius.

@SandyofCthulhu Also: How is your opponent equipped in terms of arms and armor? Swords evolved in response to armor and vice versa

@ProofOfKeags @MarcoTrotz @MrBeast 1. Reds will always put themselves before you. 2. Reds won't do anything for the greater good if it costs them. 3. Reds are willing to let others die as long as they get no consequences. 4. Reds think altruism is virtue signaling and use that as an excuse to be sociopaths.

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

@BenisKen Our house rule for 20s: If, with your bonus/penalty could not mathematically succeed even with a 20, you either got a 2nd roll or succeed with a negative effect (you disarm the trap, but broke the lock) If you could succeed on the math, you get a critical success/hit

@Tanyaelisabeth One of the taller girls in my high school class married one of the shorter boys. They have been together for 40 years now. How stupid would it be to let something like height stand in the way of that? What they have is priceless.

My husband and I met online. I am a tall woman so after a few times of meeting someone for a date who I was taller than, I made it policy to ask so that we might avoid the awkwardness. When we were talking I asked him how tall he was making it clear that I was tall. This man would not tell me. He just told me don’t worry. I got you. This is how he is, just tons of confidence, even when unwarranted 😂 To me he made it sound like he was so tall I had so much clearance so of course I wore heeled boots, I mean why not right?? Well dear reader we met and we were the same height, it was the funniest thing I have ever experienced, we both died laughing He thought I was exaggerating over how tall I was and I thought he was making it clear he was so tall there was no way a woman would be that height. It worked out cause now we are married and all our kids are very tall thanks to me.

@Tanyaelisabeth When I was in the dating pool, a short man, I had success with tall women As a teen I worked on a loading dock with a guy shorter than I, with a big nose and a gut His wife was a 5'11" statuesque red head He shared his secret: We're all the same height when we're horizontal
