@Billfetke @AtlanticLg @LIDucks @BauerOutage @Cubs You can’t be serious. He was terrible in Japan and has no shot at seriously competing at MLB level
English

@BleacherNation Cubs are without Steele, Horton and Palencia. So are the Dodgers lucky too?

The Cubs Are Catching a VERY Lucky Break in This Weekend's Series Against the Dodgers

@LeopoldoGonz04 @GurgleBarf @RamsNFL @KTrost72 Your doubting a GM that got Puka in the 5th. Interesting
English

@Th3NickW @WantGreatness @Bladeswelove @TurfShowTimes A bridge QB is a waste of a season. Why would they do that when they have a competitive roster? Plus drafting a QB doesn’t take going after a QB off the table after they see what he can do. Rams added Stafford when they had Goff.
English

@ChrisChampHome @WantGreatness @Bladeswelove @TurfShowTimes You sign a bridge QB for a season and then draft a QB who actually has a chance of starting in the NFL in the next draft..
English

@WantGreatness @Th3NickW @Bladeswelove @TurfShowTimes Snead is only responsible for Goff (who has done well) and Bennett who was clearly a late risk. He was the one that traded for Stafford so I’m sure he knows his options and the price tag associated with them. Dak? 🤣
English

@Th3NickW @ChrisChampHome @Bladeswelove @TurfShowTimes I’d be fine with the Rams never drafting a QB ever again. Look at these names.
Stetson Bennett
Jared Goff
Sean Mannion
Garrett Gilbert
Keith Null
Jeff Smoker
Sam Bradford
Trade for Stafford and when he’s done, go after a proven QB like Dak, Herbert, Burrow, T-Law. 🥱
English

@WantGreatness @Bladeswelove @TurfShowTimes So when exactly do you draft the replacement for your 38 year old QB who continues to hint at retirement? If they wait until he fully retires they are screwed.
English

@Bladeswelove @TurfShowTimes Ty Simpson won’t help the Rams get past the Seahawks in the playoffs. 🙄
English

@PerennialPundit @RamsBrothers WR’s are plentiful as FA, trades and later in the draft. QB’s are not.
English

@RamsBrothers I dont like the arm or his size. Also, we dont have a succession plan at WR or pass rush. Idk man
English

All Ty Simpson has done is sit. Spent first 3 years in Bama on the bench behind Bryce Young and Jalen Milroe. Started only 15 games in college.
He’s gonna sit behind Stafford for as long as humanly possible. What a deal for him. Learns from a HoFer, maybe gets a ring, makes a 1st round picks salary for hopefully doing nothing.
Worst part? Could’ve traded back.
Lemon, Bain, so many talented players could’ve been added to this win now roster. Hate this pick today. And probably forever.
English

@Dr_Krishnan @RamsBrothers Rams didn’t trade away three 1st round picks for that. Massive difference
English

@TheBadGuyLVI @KSandberg23 Why would I repost the rule that is already in the thread? The rule itself says the umpire must “judge” so I have no idea what you are talking about. Anything but an ejection is poor judgment by the umpire.
English

Cool beans.
I caught for my 16u Travel team, so I think It’s fair to say I can speak on being behind the plate…
I can’t even take your opinion seriously if we don’t understand the baseball context of a Judgment call. There are three (3 calls, 6 potential outcomes) examples of judgment calls. Fair/foul, ball/strike, out/safe.
That’s it. You’re taking the literal definition of judgment and applying it to baseball, and there is a completely different connotation to the term ‘Judgment call’ when it comes to officiating.
I think you should spend a few more days a week on the field.
Now, if you had come at me with the exact rule in softball as @KSandberg23 did, I would actually somewhat listen to what you had to say…. Might’ve even admitted I was incorrect in applying the baseball verbiage to a softball play…
HOWEVER, you simply stating that because you played 4 years of college baseball and because those years were spent as a catcher, I’m just supposed to believe you probably isn’t gonna happen…
English

There is NO WAY this is batters interference!! — 1000% an ejection on the catcher though!!
Fryedaddy/Frito@shegone03
This could be the worst call I have ever seen! I would take that catchers uniform away immediately! #shegone
English

@TheBadGuyLVI @KSandberg23 I spend 6 days a week on the baseball field and was a catcher all four years of college. That is an easy judgement call from the umpire. The runner at third didn’t even have a lead and the throwing action clearly had a different purpose. Ejection is an easy call there.
English

If you want to argue that, then I would argue that literally every call made on a baseball field requires judgment….
I’m not even saying what the catcher did was right/wrong, matter of fact I specifically said both the coach and the C would be ejected for making a travesty of the game. The point I was trying to make is that that there is literally no ability of the umpire to make the judgment you’re wanting them to.. at the college level, if you blatantly misapply a rule bc of the TRASH actions of the coach and a kid who unfortunately listened to that coach, I’m not saying they’ll lose their job, but THAT UMPIRE will get in more trouble than the kid and coach will bc at the end of the day, they’ll basically lose their entire schedule.
English

@TheBadGuyLVI @KSandberg23 That rule requires judgement so there is no such thing as strict letter of the rulebook. Any ump that makes that call on this play is wrong and isn’t paying attention. Player should be suspended for the season and batter should absolutely press charges.
English

By the strict letter of the rulebook (in baseball, don’t want to speak on the verbiage for softball), this actually would be….
By AIl rights, she did ‘make a movement which hindered/impeded the catcher from making a play on the runner…
I’d also eject both coach and catcher on the grounds of ‘Making a travesty of the game’
English

@WBell3626 @CubsZone No thanks, he’s striking out 40% of the time.
English

@CubsZone Sure could use him hitting 5th seya and PCA LOOK LOST AND OVER MATCHED
English

@mattvanswol Easy fix. Don’t stop giving. Stay local and get directly involved so there is direct accountability.
English

I hate to say it…
But I’m struggling to be generous after all the fraud we’ve seen.
There’s so few charities I trust now.
I do a deep dive on a homeless charity… oh look, my tax dollars are funding that and it’s run by a Trump-hating Leftist.
A Christian charity? Oh look, they’re helping illegal aliens.
An education nonprofit?
Oh look, it’s getting money from Left-wing political groups to send in Democrat activists to give lectures on LGBTQ oppression.
Even my TAX DOLLARS I know are being used to fund some BS non-profit that probably has me on a list somewhere as an extremist and is actively trying to cancel me.
It’s hard to be generous when I’m already being generously stolen from in taxes and when even the nonprofits aren’t actually solving the problems they reportedly exist to solve.
English

@HallCash40359 @IowaCubs He’s hitting .227 against AAA pitchers. Hitting a home run off a hanging AAA curve ball isn’t going to get him a call up.
English

@MattFogelsong @JWonCATCHING If it’s a one piece yes leave it on because it holds tight to the face and offers protection. A two piece can shift due to all the movement so easier and cleaner view to remove.
English

@JWonCATCHING Do you like/instruct your Cs to keep on helmets for plays at the plate? Or do you leave it up to C?
English

@ChrisChampHome @MLB Nobody was at first yet Devers played back so he did the best thing he could do was potentially get 2nd if not get 1st for sure when Devers is back.

English

@ChristianaOps @SportsCenter This is a lack of awareness. Should have gone to first right away and got the easy out.
English

@SportsCenter That’s pure awareness and footwork.
Willy Adames didn’t just rely on arm strength there, he read the play early, stayed composed under pressure, and still got the out at first for the Milwaukee Brewers.
Those are the kind of plays that quietly win tight games.
English

@SVTKevin @SportsCenter He made it a tough throw. Would have been much easier going to first right away.
English

@SportsCenter That’s a tough throw to make so perfectly when you have a runner sliding into you. Wow
