After six years at The Star, today is my last day. It's been a genuine pleasure writing about my club for a newspaper I grew up reading... A huge thank you to @HoltChris for believing in me and bringing me in, and to @dannyhall04 for being such a great friend and colleague.

@robstaton I feel your pain Rob, where we live parking is an issue for most schools so some parents think it’s fine to park anywhere again putting children in danger as they can’t get down footpaths safely and can’t be seen for parked vehicles when trying to cross

No video but just saw a car speed up to go through Broom Lane crossing before a dad and daughter could cross, trying to beat them to the crossing. Before that a car drove through as I waited with my 8-year-old. I let the driver know about it and he was oblivious. I probably bore many of you with this but I could post every day, it’s that much of a regular occurrence. Been posting about this for what must be a couple of years now and nothing changes. They’ve been advertising for a new lollipop lady throughout that period but nobody will seemingly take the job — and that’s completely understandable. Don’t wait until something serious happens to act. @RMBCPress Is there anything left that can be done @SarahChampionMP? It’s incredible how dangerous this road is during the school run. A constant worry for parents.

@SouthStandPies I think Mike Ashley would be fantastic. I think he got some unfair criticism at Newcastle. If he takes us to a mid table premiership position I would be forever great full.

The negativity surrounding Mike Ashley and a potential #SWFC takeover is quite something. We are a club in despair and turning our noses up at a billionaire business man who’d be a hundred times better than the last bloke? The last bloke who couldn’t understand the tax system in the UK. Ashley will come in and even if he chooses the bare minimum, it’ll put us in a better place than we’ve been in for the last 25 years. He’ll fix online, retail, sponsorship, training ground and a plan will be in place regarding the stadium. All ready to go. And he’s also in a position to really go for it too. Macron will be on its way out likely replaced by Adidas. A potential new stadium with his retail brands involved one way or another could excite him. We have a potential owner who’s got his own sports brands and money ready to go. Mike Ashley knows he needs to invest in this club to get something out and get into the PL and that takes serious money. All those saying “anyone but Ashley” need to have a serious think about it, because he’s one hell of an upgrade on DC and we certainly don’t want Textor getting over the line.
