For a negotiation with a country that still controls the Strait of Hormuz, just had 7 million people volunteer to fight, shot down two U.S. warplanes last week, and whose IRGC said their fingers are "on the trigger."
Iran walked into Islamabad with a 10-point proposal, preconditions, and leverage over the world's most important shipping lane.
The U.S. walked in saying they don't need a plan B.
One side came prepared for chess.
The other is betting everything on the other side folding.
Let's hope they're right.

One solution for America's birth rate crisis is to encourage and support young couples marrying & starting families while they're in college. College classes are just a few hours each day - plenty of time left for parenting and & studying. Late night wake-ups with a baby are no problem for college students who are used to pulling all-nighters. Mom and dad can trade off childcare - one studies while the other parents. Mom can also study during naps, breastfeeding, or audiobook walks. A small apartment is fine for a young couple with a baby and toddler. On-site college daycares can offer flexible childcare, letting student-parents drop off their children for a few focused hours of studying when needed. It's doable - let's make it normal.
