@howardnoakley @TheBobPony And you can see it in my picture above! Fallback Recovery with no wifi icon. Crazy... But from your understanding, if this Mac was updated from the factory 26.3.. Should it now have 26.3 Fallback? Or should it be 26.3.1 like it is showing now?

Thanks for pointing this out @TheBobPony When Erase All Content & Settings is performed, both the OS & paired recovery are removed. This leaves you with a dedicated fallback recovery for activation & "erase Mac" etc. Shipping Tahoe Build 26.3.1 (25D2128) might have this issue🧵

Apple’s new M5 MacBook Air and M5 MacBook Pro has a soft brick bug that occurs after attempting to factory reset. When the activation screen appears, there’s no WiFi icon in the menu, making it impossible to pass the activation. The solution? Use a USB C to Ethernet adapter! 🫠

@howardnoakley @TheBobPony In this case, I'm not sure anymore! This M5 MBPro was shipped with 26.3 and updated to 26.3.1 during enrollment. Now fallback is on 26.3.1!? I think I can confirm this because wifi is NOT available!!! 😖
